We booked this beautiful b&b in the off-season. The weather was more like this, but this fantastic accommodation made up for it. It's all right here, feel-good design, high-quality materials - all in organic quality and super loving hosts. Breakfast is meagre and every day a little different. We'd like to stay longer, but in the off-season, unfortunately, the beach is only open a few days a week.

That's all we can do.

We had a wonderful stay at Eco by Strandnära, a small hotel situated in a small town away from the usual tourist hotspots.
The hotel and the rooms are nicely decorated and well maintained. Our room was a larger room in the garden annex, and it was perfect. Only thing missing was a small fridge for cold drinks, however there is a shared kitchen with all facilities including several fridges for your stuff, so really not a problem at all.
Breakfast is included and it is great. You can have your meals outside on one of the terraces and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We also had dinner at the hotel which you need to pre-book, and it was excellent. Staff is excellent, relaxed and smiling. 
Please note that the hotel is not right at the beach, but the local beach is reached easily in a few minutes by walking through a little forest in front of the hotel. It is not exactly a sandy beach though, but it is easy to take a swim thanks to a bathing pier. The walk along the coastline in front of the hotel is beautiful and we enjoyed the sunsets here.
The weather was absolutely perfect which of course added to the holiday feeling. Öland is a beautiful island with lots of nice places to visit and we would definitely love to come back to Strandnära again.

GREAT STAY

We stayed here for two nights and loved it. The room (we booked one with a private bathroom) was spacious, well decorated, and quiet. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious; we are so glad we booked dinner both nights we stayed there! Erica is a gracious host, and the waitstaff is also lovely. Other reviewers have noted that the hotel is further afield, but if you have a car, we found it close to most of what we wanted to explore. It is a 200 meter walk to a nice trail along the coast, and most of the attractions in the southern part of the island are a 15-20 minute drive away. 

We also appreciate the approach they have taken to hygiene in these coronavirus times. It was a nice balance between safe and personable. For example, breakfast service is served at the table instead of a buffet, and tables for lunch and dinner are further apart. It eased our concerns about travel as countries emerge from lockdown.

All in all, highly recommended!

A lovely place to stay

A fantastic place with a fantastic hostess. Beautiful surroundings, stylish rooms, great organic food and a warm atmosphere. Last but not least: silent (apart from the sound of the ocean). Don’t miss if you are in the area, or go here for your whole vacation. You won’t be disappointed!

We stayed here because of a suggestion by a friend. It was a good suggestion. This hotel is very eco friendly and all products are locally produced. We stayed in the hotel , you can also take some rooms on the outside. Be aware, the rooms outside have en-suite bathrooms and showers. When you stay inside the hotel you (can?) have rooms without. Our room was without en-suite. 
Rooms are clean and beds are good. Decoration is good. The hotel is close to the beach and in the middle of the woods. Very quiet and lovely location. There is a surf school close bye. 
Last but not least, staff is very friendly, speak English well and food is good. No junk food.

Had a long weekend here in july, it was a very nice stay

Have had several lunches here during a recent extended period living in Southern Sweden - food has been excellent and the service provided by the young staff has been utterly first class....welcoming, friendly and professional. In general a lovely atmosphere and situated in a very pleasant part of Oland - would recommend without hesitation.

Excellent food and service

Nice and neat b&b in new england interior style. 
The food is healthy and tastefull. Vegans and vegetarians will be pleased to se the menu.
I go for the breakfast with oat porridge made with love and homemade bread mmmmmm.
Near to the beach so bring your swimsuit. 
Clean nice room in the villa. Feels like home.
Breakfast starts at 08.00, a problem if you
have to start work early. 

Eco friendly with New England interiör style

Amazing cozy café in a beautiful environment!
Great coffee, delicious cakes and tasty food (could be bigger portions) and service minded staff.
You can also get vegan and gluten free alternatives.
Everything is organic!

Amazing!

It sells like a B&B but we guarantee you'll feel like a 5-star hotel. The décor is fantastic, if you care about the details. The best bed we've found on our trip through Sweden. When the smell enters its repository, you're hypnotized. Breakfast, with all its organic products, is delicious and the girls who always serve it with a smile. It's in a fantastic place with forest on the island of wave, all relaxation. They have a common kitchen for guests with a lot of service, everything clean, all new and in the terrace plenty of tables to eat and relax. We couldn't taste your ECO Restaurant because the season is closed but there was no taste!! 10 PEREMONS REPORTINGS, we strongly recommend that you also eat and relax on the terrace.

A five star hotel

This is a nice cosy Eco Hotel at Morbylanga. The girl at the reception is very helpful and provides information about the history of the island and the places to see.  We went during the mid summer festival and most of the island was on festive mood.  They have very good organic breakfast and the spread is quite good for such a small place.  The only downside to this place is the common bathrooms, which would take time getting used to.
