We stayed here late August which is shoulder season here so it was relatively quiet, lots of Swedish retirees walking their dogs! Why is it usually the women who do the dog walking??!!
It’s a beautiful spot by the side of Lake Siljan -well spaced out camping / caravan and cabin areas. We were booked in a 2 bed cabin but were upgraded free of charge to a three bed - one of the Tallbaken 2 cabins - this was huge with upstairs 2 bedrooms plus toilet and indoor seating area as well as outdoor balcony with table and chairs - downstairs another seating area, dining area and kitchen , outside picnic table seating area with access via separate kitchen door, downstairs toilet, separate shower room with inbuilt sauna which worked great. The downstairs room is two bunk beds, the upstairs rooms have two singles in one - zip link to make a double, other room is a bunk bed over a three quarter bed. Also sofa bed in upstairs seating area. The cabin was clean and well maintained and very warm. 
The site is right next to Somarland which is a kids adventure park with a couple of huge water  slides and other stuff - was closed when we were there as it was after the Swedish schools went back on 15th August - I imagine the site would be a lot busier in high summer but the campsite  do seem to have a strict policy of quiet after 10 pm in the evening. 
The bathing area and beach is very nice - late August the water was still easily warm enough to swim in . The crazy golf was fun and there was no extra charge for this. There is a lovely lakeside trail into Leksand itself - about 1.5 miles which goes through a wooded area. Worth the walk to go to the Siljan Konditori! 
Use of the laundry was free - you normally have to book a slot but as it was shoulder season reception let us go anytime. The machines even add the soap for you which was a new one for me!
All in all a very pleasant and well managed site. Only thing I would say is take note of reduced reception opening hours - they close at 1600 usually but on the Friday they closed at 1400 and were not open when we left the site at 1100 on Sat. They did text us in Swedish with all the relevant codes to get on site and to open the key safe to find our envelope with info and hut key. A little work with Google translate to figure out what we were supposed to do, but all good.

Beautiful lakeside spot

We were there with the camper, and we all had a lot of fun, and there's the summerland, and there's a playground for kids and adults, and there's plenty to see in the square, and there's a show for kids in the evenings, and only the food was improving, but the pizza was good.

Beautiful campsite, well suited for children

Great location, great staff, great organization, great walk along Siljan into Leksand (about 2-3km), modern cabins and houses. We stayed in house Tallbacken 34 and enjoyed the view, amenities (incl sauna and wifi etc) and good standard for 6 people.

Along the Siljan shore

Holiday home large enough for 4 people, good kitchen facilities ventilation in the house very noisy, could not be exhibited. Road to the Summerland water park is within 10 minutes' walk. Tip: buy tickets at the reception of the campsite, cheaper! Not all houses have grills. Animation on the campsite is very loud, sounds high up to the house. Overall a very large square but nevertheless very beautiful!

Beautiful holiday home with great views

There is wi-fi included in the price when you book a caravanspace in Leksand strand camping, but we had none of the 4 days we were there. Besides (which is not the site's fault), people had no respect for that you can not go into each other's place. People went constantly through our place, even if we sat outside the caravan because there was shorter for them to go.
There are many service houses but also many caravan sites, so in the end we were there was one service house with only 4 toilets. When a toilet went to pieces, was not made while we were in Leksand strand camping(4 days).

No internet!

Excellent surprise! The cottage was really nice and clean, better than in the photos, with a private sauna that we enjoyed very much! Unfortunately we only stayed 2 nights so we couldn't visit the water park, but the lake and the campsite pool were more than enough. The view of the lake is relaxing and leaves your mouth open, you are in the middle of the green in a beautiful forest perfectly kept and with a breathtaking landscape.

That's great!

Very nice and quiet location right on the Siljan Lake. We had a leksandbyn with 5 beds and that was exactly the right choice for the three of us. Equipment of the cottage is simple but completely sufficient. Bedding and towels can be rented for SEK 120. Extremely friendly and helpful staff at the reception. Reasonable WLAN is only available near the reception. Mid-August was already the end of the season, so the restaurant was unfortunately no longer available. No problem, delicious and cheap breakfast's, among others in the nearby conditories of the city of Vikings, good dinner at the restaurants back Bosporen, or Acropolis. A ride over the Silvan Lake is recommended for travel to the RB 150, and a tour of the Silvan Lake is recommended with Gustav Wasaf.

It's pure romance

Stayed there in the Basic Leksand Cabin for a night with the family of five. It was a bit expensive but very pleasant stay. A huge camping area but our cabin was located on the hill and had quiet and peaceful environment. Perfect beach and playground.

A perfect stay with the family

We were in one of the beach houses, visually brilliant, great big terrace, sauna in the bathroom, cozy beds, fireplace in the living room, generously cut. There are exceptions to the relatively sparse equipment of the kitchen, the fact that the sauna was somewhat arbitrary in terms of heating and the location in the middle of the campsite.

Luxurious holiday home with fantastic views

Clean and well planned cabin at "Tallbacken" with a fresh feel. Floor space not overwhelmingly generous though. Area has excellent logistics and plenty of things to do for kids. Great scenic location with adventure park near by.
