On our way to the north, we stopped here. The three-story hotel, built in the style of a country house, is reached by a magnificent alley access and has sufficient parking. The friendly reception was followed by a staircase to our upstairs room, because there is no elevator. Our large room with table, sofa and double bed was bordered by a now very decent bathroom, which with difficulty and hardship could still copy the 70s. Hardly any room, old-fashioned shower hanging, no more fitting, and, moreover, poorly lit, then the proper door frame fell into the spotlight. The usual courtyard, even in the countryside, was already very impressive. On the other hand, the usual bathroom, but now very decent, was able to copy the 70s. This also applies to the quality of the atmosphere, so that the weight and weight of the room were not adequately illuminated.

Citizenship with minor defects

I have stayed at this hotel several times now, while attending events at the nearby "Folkets Park Skeer". It is easy to find and lovely situated. You can reach the beautiful lake Siljan in just a few minutes walking distance.
The owners are very friendly and eager to make you feel satisfied and content.
The hotel has a very personal and nice atmosphere and is in old classical style; something that I prefer over modern and fancy. 
My room, the breakfast, the cleanliness, the service - all quite satisfying! 
Plenty of parking spaces conveniently located.
So i highly recommend this hotel and I look forward to a new visit shortly.

Nice hotel in a peaceful and beautiful location

We spent one night in July and loved to stay at the hotel. The location is very good -short drive from the main road but in the middle of  beautiful, tranquille Swedish country life.  We had a concert tickets to Dalhalla, so we moved to another location near Rättvik as we were afraid that from Kungshaga it might be too long drive to Dalhalla but it was a huge mistake as the distances are short and we could have stayed in Kungshaga as the area and the hotel are very nice.
There is a nice quiet beach ca 1,5 km from the hotel (ask directions from the hotel) where only local people are going. Hotel is clean, good food, room was maybe a bit out-dated but it was big and oh boy what a million dollar view to the lake! We truly regretted that spent there only one night. I would strongly recommend the hotel, it is a very good value for money.

Great views, peaceful good  location.

The hotel is in a privileged position in the area. Walk around the hotel to the lake in the middle of nature. The rooms are clean, we had one overlooking the garden but the number 5 should have a visit to the lake. You can have dinner at the hotel with a beautiful view. Very romantic.

Landscape around the fairy tale hotel

What about this beautiful hotel in the middle of the green with a fantastic view of the lake? Well-kept and clean rooms and common areas, courteous and always smiling staff. Even the food is not bad at all. All in the sign of relaxation and tranquility.

Enchanting position

Located in a charming place, we had a room with a wonderful view of the lake. The hotel dates back to 1919 and maintains a unique charm. The renovation has been done over the years but the room still has some aspects that should be fixed such as the electrical system. Cold reception and breakfast barely enough. Sleeping in the Dalarna this season (we were on 30 July) in a 95 euro double is an excellent shot (all things considered) however.

We visited for 2 nights in July and had a very pleasant stay. It was easy to find and the hotel room/amenities were good. The breakfast had plenty of options with local products and the dinners were excellent! It is really a beautiful area with lots of things to see and do. The owners were very friendly and gave us some good tips on what to see in the area. From the hotel it was just a short walk to the lake where we did some kayaking (which we rented from the hotel) at night taking advantage of the long summer days. The views were just spectacular! Would highly recommend this hotel

Nicely located with great views.

The rooms are very spacious. Nature bath in Lake Ors. Secret tip from the hostess. We have already stayed there three times. If we are back in the area (Dalarna / Siljansee - Lake Ors), we will definitely stay there again.

Happiness with Daphne and Husband

Okay, the manor in the country in the middle of nowhere, ok the view of the fantastic lake and ok the charm of the inventive location... but the tiny blind bathroom, the door to the room with the wallpaper hanging on the glass to cover, the breakfast served ONLY from 6:30 to 9: 00 maximum they should have brought this beautiful location to ask for say 35% less than they wanted instead... it is also true that the alternative apart from the campsite was the barn... ergo it goes very well so

Enchanting but Vintage

The hotel is located just a few hundred metres from the main street in an idyllic, quiet location. The ancient house (formerly the Altenheim) looks very well maintained. The Dutch operator couple speaks German and points above all with the quality of the food. We enjoyed the three-person dinner and were positively surprised by it.
