The rooms are well maintained and partly equipped with modern equipment. Overall, the building is of course old and full of charm. In the UG there is even a small sauna. We didn't use it, however, the room was always warm enough ;) Although the hotel is located right on the main street, the nights are very quiet because traffic with the dark is greatly reduced. Please read the news of the hotel after booking. I think during our three-day stay we saw only a couple who had read the code to the hotel, everyone else was standing around without a clue ;) Kurt Urweider is all in control and omnipresent. Thanks to his dedication, the hotel is running well, the grace seems to have been shown and there is no question that we are also coming from the hotel just a short distance from the Urweider Inn!

Great base for driving the passes also location made visits to Thun and Lucerne possible. Restaurant on site is very good

Great location for driving the passes

Very friendly reception and service. Beautiful and well-maintained rooms with very good beds. Clean bathroom. Breakfast is very plentiful, floor-lined and with nice selection. The food in the restaurant is excellent. Here the owners are still cooking. Large parking space is available. Basement for bicycles, access for e-bikes is not suitable (rather narrow stairs).

A beautiful house with a very good kitchen

We spent one night here before we went to the Grimselpass, Grimsel Hospice, the next day, and we were very pleasantly surprised by the very fine dinner and the very beautiful, modern Deluxe double room. Very friendly owners. And incredibly true, this is the oldest cat in Switzerland.

Modern, large room

Stayed 3 nights while I toured the Swiss Alps on my motorbike alone.. very friendly  staff. Excellent food and beer.. very clean and spacious room with immaculate separate shower/ sauna area..i would highly recommend a stay here either the owner is very welcoming..

3 night stay while touring Switzerland 

For the price, you get a functionally furnished room with your own bathroom and TV. Everything is a little old, but still cozy and very clean. Breakfast is rich and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I arrived late in the evening and the kitchen was already closed. The dear waitress still made me a fantastic sandwich. Thank you very much. I would come back anytime.

Price performance matches

Greeted by.... No one, just a locked building. I don't read emails daily when travelling, I'm enjoying myself,. So when, less than 48 hours before arriving here I get an email saying the doors will be locked I am not hap-py. A room key will be found at the rear of the property. And the restaurant is closed. That sums it up, deso-late and deserted. The room had a window behind the bed difficult to see out of.  Awful place. Someone turned up the following morning and laid out one of the most sparse buffet breakfasts you can imagine. Bread, cheese and some ham. Dried oat cereal, no cornflakes and certainly nothing for children. A cheaply run place, well no they didn't run it for us even, it was a self service hotel. They could have emailed and said everything was closed within the cancellation period, but no, they waited until I would have to pay either way. Shabby service in a shabby place, avoid it.

Terrible service at a poor hotel

We stayed one night at the hotel. The room was nicely furnished and functional. The bathroom had already gotten a little old. But in all things, not only was the price-performance ratio right, we felt very comfortable. The restaurant is highly recommended! The service was top-notch and the food (lamm Entrecôte and Haslitalburger) was beautifully prepared and very tasty. If we were back in the region, we would like to stay in the original place again.

Simple but pretty rooms

The family-run Hotel Restaurant Urweider I chose as the starting point for my motorcycle trip because of the optimal location of the sauna (almost 20 sqm with 4 showers). From the friendly reception and offer to park my motorcycle in the garage to the nice routes tips I felt very eager to book one of the most basic for Switzerland really inexpensive single rooms in the Sous-Sol, where the shower of the sauna (almost 20 sqm with 4 showers) is used. Everything is clean and well maintained. The exquisite import of the company is very much appreciated, which is very much sought after every night by the carnival family, where the son of the carnival family can eat very good dishes with delicious and delicious food and also has a great value for a dark drink in the Mediterranean, which also offers a great service in the us, and the service is also very good in the sense that the wine is produced in the region.

A slumber paradise for the gourmet - a fine native with regional products

Very nice hotel with charming decoration. The room is spacious, well decorated and the bed is of high quality. Our room faced the side of the mountain, and despite the fact that the hotel was located on a side road, it was quiet. A little bemool for the isolation between the rooms. With neighbors who speak loud and their TVs that play even louder, we would almost prefer the noise of cars. We tried the hotel restaurant one evening. The dishes are delicious and delicious! Small lunch very well. The hotel is conveniently located less than 5 minutes from the gorges of the Ar and Meiringen and about 30 minutes by car from Interlaken. We highly recommended this establishment.
