Although a little hard to find at first, it's location n staff made our trip memorable. It's one block away from the mrt sta n one block away from ximending walking area filled w restos, bars n endless shops wer great deals await you. It's located behind the Red House n near several great bars n live bands n one mrt stop from both CKS memorial n Laoshan temple.

Great ximending hotel

I had a hard time booking for an affordable room in Taipei because most of the rooms don't have their own bathroom.

Luckily, there's Holiday Fun.

The room wasn't very big, but it was enough. No cabinets, so just be organized. There were two hooks and a few hangers. 

The bathroom was clean, rightly sized, with a tub. The hotel provides basic toiletries as well. You can request for your room to be cleaned up everyday.

The best part of the stay was Esther, the receptionist. My partner lost the room key. He was to be charged $500NT. Instead of Esther taking the money rightaway, she asked us to look for the key first. Even if we didn't request for the room to be cleaned, she asked her cleaning lady to do it to help us look for the key (We found the key at the supermarket customer service). 

We are planning to return to Taipei in November. I will definitely love to book this hotel again. 

Plus, it is just a few steps from the Ximen and the train station.

Stayed here for four nights and they cleaned our room daily, also provided drinking water and fresh towels daily. Hot and cold shower available and tub. Staff are very nice and approachable. You can leave your luggage on their lockers even after check out. Place is a few mins walk to the center of Ximen and the night markets. However if you book top room, there is no elevator so you have to go through four flights of stairs.

Affordable, clean and cozy

Staff are friendly and check-in process is seamless and essy. Love the bathtube though the room is smaller in general. Neat and cozy. Good location near Eslite and the busy streets. Daily room cleaning is done. Place has an old weighing scale that could be useful in ensuring you keep you luggage within the acceptable weigh. 

However, there is no lift and moving items up and down is an issue especially when the room is located at the 3rd level. Could get noisy at times as it is located near the smaller alley. Could be hard to find for first timer. 



Cosy and nice stay

I actually expected to meet fellow travelers since it’s a hostel, but surprisingly, all rooms were private and there was no common area.

The female receptionist was accommodating and always cheerful. The room and the entire hotel was clean. I expected to get a smaller room, but I was amazed that my room had a bathtub. I loved it! The bed was comfortable, and everything worked fine–from the air-conditioning unit, television, to the fridge and the hot and cold shower. They have toiletries, too.

Friendly Staff and Good location

Holiday fun is situated at the heart of Ximending area where you can enjoy shopping and sightseeing.this place is very similar to myeongdong in Korea. It's a 10-15 minute walk from ximen station and located just beside cheers hotel and at the back of Lux Cinema. It is very easy to locate and it feelz really safe. The amenities here are complete too. They have a set if toothbrush, sleepers, towels, soap , shampoo, etc. Surprizingly, the room is even bigger as compared to our hotel in Korea and Japan and it is just right for 2 people. It also has a TV set. The staff are honest too. One time, we forgot to get our money inside the pillow and they didnt even get it even though we asked for the pillow cases to be changed. Over-all, I highly recommend this place and will definitely book again next time.

Hotel well located in a small quiet street the rooms are very small but clean good staff good wifi the smell in the morning and after the shower is breathless from the upswing of the sewage smells that goes back to the room we changed for cheers just rated much better but bad wifi
