The hostel is located a little bit hidden down the alley almost in the corner. Room was clean, unique zebra design in the room, and surprisingly quiet, might be depend on the location of the room. This is a perfect place for those who doesn't want to encounter many people. Just at the corner there is 7-11, many restaurants and cafes nearby, 15 mins walk to BTS ThongLor

Hidden gem

I was on a budget trip and wanted to save on my accomodations but yet close to the clubbing scene at Thong lor, which resulted in booking this room- Which was excellent! 
The room was very spacious for the amount i paid (2449  baht for 2 nights) and the bed was very comfortable as well. Theres alot of mirrors on the wall which made the room looks bigger, which was quite cool for me. I can imagine this being a slightly "interesting" place for couples. 
The fact that the room is in a hostel environment did not bother me at all. However, if you are looking for top class service, then this is not meant for you (and you obviously have to pay more). 
Location is ideal to the clubbing area, but a short 10min walk to the BTS. Some eateries ard the place, but not much street food (unless you walk to the BTS).
Overall, no complaints and happy to come back here again. 

Lovely Double Room in a Hostel environment

Booked to stay in a private room last night, when we turned up at around 10.30pm the front door was locked and there was no answer, we rang the doorbell and telephone number multiple times but nothing! We ended up having to find somewhere else and paying for another taxi to get there. Far from impressed! 
No idea what the place is like but I give it a terrible for taking the booking and not being able to access the room. 

Be warned if arriving on the evening! 

We enjoyed our stay at the Double Five hotel. I surprised how big our room and we liked new modern design. The bathroom with a corner bath and shower were great. Key for your and a key card to get and out of the hotel worked fine. If you want to look around the thonglor area the hotel is ideally located 

Good and a reasonable price.

While the service was excellent by the staff, it has details to adjust.We were 3 friends in the same room.The bathroom had no door and a curtain that separated it from the bed area.The child also did not have a bathroom so to brush our teeth we had to go down 2 stairs to the common hostel bathroom.

The hostel's design gives it a fun, young vibe well-suited to the Thonglor neighborhood, which is home to non-touristy cafes, restaurants and night clubs and bars. It's located right in the middle of the busy part of Thonglor, so the area is extra safe and accessible, and there's a 24-hour supermarket nearby.  

Thoughts on room, facilities and cleanliness: I got a private room with private bathroom but didn't expect to have no sink in the room.   The artificial grass flooring of the common areas of the hostel looked nice but makes one wonder how it is cleaned. There was a no-shoes policy inside, so this might not be the best option for people with clean feet issues.

The owner wasn't around when I checked in past 5pm, but I'm glad he made arrangements for me to pay with dollars (exchange places were already closed when I arrived in Bangkok).  It's too bad he was away on a trip during my 3-day stay, and there was hardly anyone at the reception desk to ask for general travel/neighborhood tips (would've been nice for a first-time visitor to the area like me).  The place also wouldn't show up on Google Maps, so I always put Phuket Town (the restaurant on the corner of Soi Thong Lo and Soi 6) on my Uber requests.
