This is at the lower end of the spectrum for online rooms in Khon Kaen.

Easy to walk from the city bus route if coming from the bus station.

Prices have risen to 320bt for a fan room. The hotel is old but kept clean.

Blankets on the bed have seen better days but linen well washed although worn. New towels this year are soft and fluffy.

A reasonably quiet place for the budget traveller. 2 positions on Maps.me .... Use the one closer to Hop Inn.

Cheap

You can get better offers for 300 baht with AC and newer blankets. Their blankets were so old. Hotel needs attention. If you want to pay 280 baht for a fan room, you can go between the Big C area and the railroad and get better rooms for 300 baht.

Cheap but not clean

It's 280 THB a night, what do you expect! Clean, shower works unlike the Electicity. Double bed and balcony not to far from essentials that you need as a tourist/ traveller. Short walk to great night market and all the street food you could as for !

Old dated etc etc. Big room with a fan and 2 single beds for 280 baht.

Place was quiet and very clean with hot water working a treat. Small drying rack on balcony was useful.

We came from Ubon and were dropped at the southern bus station. A city bus for 15 baht gets you within walking distance if you get off at the closest point. 

Bus terminal for onward travel is about 1.5 km to the north. Hotel sign on the roof says D Ma.


Clean as

Stayed at the Dee Ma Hotel in KhonKaen www.dmahotel-khonkaen.com phone 043-321562-5 in October 2012. Paid 350 THB per night for a room with A/C and hot water western toilet and TV. The carpeting was a indoor outdoor type of carpeting, showed wear, and was dirty from wear. The bed was a queen or king size bed with clean bed linens The bathroom and room were of liberal  size and the staff tried to keep everything clean. Hot water, A/C worked fine. There was a small balcony off of the room that allowed me to dry some clothes as I did my own, however the hotel does laundry as well but I don’t know the price.  The hotel was set off of the street under a covered parking and seating area and thus there was no noise in my room. The hotel staff were friendly and in the reception area one could buy beer and other beverages. The hotel had two computers in the reception area that were 10THB per hour. There was wireless computer access as well. There was no breakfast or restaurant attached to the hotel and I  had to go a block or more as there was  not much in the way of stores nearby. It was easy to catch Songthaews on the street out front. It was a good walk of five or so blocks to more developed part of town but the main city market was about a 10 block walk straight up the street. I would stay there again as I liked the staff and the price for what I got.
