The hotel 4 stars maybe a long time ago, now the stars are fatigued. The rooms leave much to be desired both for how they are furnished and for cleaning. The phone was there but it wasn't working. The breakfast was enough, while the dinner had nothing special: finished and unreintegrated bags even though it was long before the restaurant closed, the fish cover was made up of the sun of the fish and not the body. On the restaurant floor hung the feet, a sign of little cleaning. The reception was dark and not well lit. The rooms were not soundproof: guests were laughing in the pool. The only things I found beautiful were the palm tree in the garden and the parking lot.

Four stars? Maybe 20 years ago!

A hotel with a great swimming pool and good facilities. Maintenance of the facilities is what leaves more to be desired. Lack of amenities in the bathroom and a little care. The buffet breakfast and dinner are both very normal.

I mean, personally, you only save the pool and the location, if you go to the desert then, of course, food with very little choice and very but very poor quality, rooms with nothing special, unmanned personnel, pool open all the time, at night so messy.

Apart from being the gateway to the desert, this hotel is also the entrance to a good stay! Breathtaking views, good food and a great location for an unforgettable excursion to the Tunisian Sahara! Super recommended! Try the quad and the camel-group walk. And then relax in the pool!

That's lovely.

The location is interesting: at the entrance of the desert. The hotel has an excellent swimming pool and good rooms. Generally, due to the desert, there is a areia/powder in everything.... but you didn't come here thinking you wouldn't see dirty, right?! Two points should be improved in this hotel: 1- dinner. The food is fine +or-. 2- staff training. They have very little skills to deal with the public.

It needs to get better.

Excelent hotel.  The cleanliness and the rooms are top level. If you want to go to the deset this hotel is perfect . 

It has a pool open 24/7 and having in mind temperatures here it might be very handy . 

Top hotel for one day in the desert .  The location is within walking distance to desert camel ride , Quads or other activities .

Hotel Old, frozen in the 90s, decoration of the time.....no refreshment since and no fashioning of the day Wifi available only at the reception, not in the rooms 😕, friendly staff and listening which minimizes the has well aspect of the place

It's a hotel that you have to conform to, there are hardly any hotels near the desert, and this one is just right, reasonably clean, but very poorly air conditioned, cold at night, the bed is very hard, the shower is right, the dinner was good, but the breakfast was terrible.

I am confused to see so many positive reviews to be honest. 
When we arrived the staff were rude to us. The room was absolutely filthy and covered in dust. The bedding and pillows had stains on. The food wasn't appetising. There were no lights in the corridors at night. There were flies all over the dining room and landing on our food (fair enough it can be hard to avoid). There is no bottled water in the room - not ideal in the middle of the dessert with no shops around. 

Most of the issue was that the trip we were on was mis sold to us, but unfortunately two days later when I was back at our original hotel, a Dr was called out to me because I was extremely ill... It was confirmed I had a severe gastro infection usually caused by food. TUI and the rep did nothing to rectify this so be careful of the excursion in this instance, I am not blaming the hotel for this part per say. 

The staff did change our room to a cleaner one and it seemed that we were in a rubbish side of the hotel originally?

I think there are two areas of the hotel... One fine and one terrible

It's a hotel that's always been the same, almost historic, for all desert lovers, with comfortable parking and spacious, functional rooms, breakfast and buffet dinner with a variety of dishes, and a good pizza, to recommend and come back to.
