There are so many things that don't work in this hotel that I don't know where to start...I'm making a list, which is not even exhaustive... - Little dej: ridiculously minimal and zero - heating: in the rooms there is heating but the noise it makes won't let you sleep.

Stay away from this hotel.

We spent two nights in this hotel after a bad experience in a seaside hotel in Monastir.We had a spacious and very clean room.The air conditioning was working well.The staff was very friendly and the food was good.The price ratio is good.We will be happy to return to this hotel.It is better sometimes to favour the hotels in the city centre that are much less crowded than the huge hotels on the seafront which are real tourist factories.

Pleasant stay

I spend every 5 weeks 3 nights in this hotel. So a loyal customer. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. The bathrooms too. A large picnic on the top floor that will not leave you indifferent with a panoramic view of the whole city of mahdia. The TV there is only one channel itself that is damaged. For meals there is no restaurant just a coffee in the morning a yogurt.

The right hotel

No blanket, no heating, no hot water... it's the worst thing on the line... we have to close this hotel... they buy yogurt from the grocery store across the street for breakfast, coffee across the street for customers, etc...

What a disaster!

After testing out an excellent couscous there, three years ago, I decided to go back to the Phenix restaurant in Mahdia, to try to relive a pleasant culinary and service experience. Las! never again!! No appreciation for the customer I am: I took care to order my couscous a week before, I left a paper with all the details including my contact details.

He was pleasant and satisfying, and he's absolutely no longer pleasant!

It's a simple hotel, but it does the job... clean and spacious room with sea view... very nice welcome... here you are welcomed... it's a pity that the rooftop pool is closed... two minutes from the medina... very convenient... a charming hotel

A simple hotel, but welcoming as we love it.

I stayed in this hotel in summer 2014. the location is good within the center and not far from the beach. Rooms are big and clean and sometimes Wi-fi could be available in rooms but weak connection. It could be noisy because it is right in the center. Food is average and staff people are nice and helpful. For a low budget I recommend this hotel.

Not bad Hotel

Noisy day and all night, it works little, shower included, TV included, staff included. The premises are not bad for the Arab standard but marvelous that Lonelj planet contemplates it as the best. I escaped after one night.

Poor choice

Our wonderfully large room was spoilt  by the noise: motor scooter engines in the sweet below (we were on the third floor), constant processions of cars all beeping their horns right through the night, some sort of disco on the Saturday night, and thin walls so you hear what the occupants next door are doing- in this case coughing all night.
We were a group of 9, so we had our meals specially catered for, and no choice of item.  There was no wine available  at all- only beer.  Service was basic and at breakfast you needed to ask for the non-food items e.g. - napkin, salt and pepper.
It was close to the medina, and there is a  little cafe next door where we had, of all thing, a panini!
