From start to finish everything went wrong. We booked 2 rooms but they said they only have one room available. After waiting about one hour they gave my friend one very small room. My room was also ok but very old. Water was not hot! It was between warm and cold  and I could hardly take shower. Refrigerator in the room wasn't working. Room and bathroom wasn't clean! Overall not recommended place. 

Don't stay there

I decided to book the Grand İskender because it seemed to be one of the better hotels in Adıyaman. And because the restaurant attached to the hotel, İskender 85, is somewhere that my boyfriend and his family regularly eat at. I decided to book the suite as it was only a little more than the double room. 

When I arrived at the hotel I was shown to one of the double rooms. It was very basic. I explained to the porter that I had booked a suite and I was then taken to the correct room. I was very pleasantly surprised. It was lovely. There was a large bedroom with plenty of storage and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was spacious with a good sized shower. There was also a lounge with a three-piece suite. There were televisions in both the lounge and the bedroom but only had Turkish television. There was a mini bar with a few drinks in it but room to put your own drinks in too. The views from the windows were nothing special, in fact the bedroom window looked out onto a derelict building. But I don't think you can really expect great views from a city centre hotel. 

There was a buffet breakfast with a large selection but it was Turkish breakfast so there was no toast or cereal or any cooked food like bacon or sausage. The staff were lovely. They got Milk out especially for me when I arrived and helped me make a tray up for my boyfriend to take back to the room.

All of the hotel staff were lovely but only one person spoke any English. I speak reasonable Turkish but if you don't speak any Turkish you may struggle a bit in Adıyaman.

Overall I was very happy with the hotel and would definitely stay there again.

Better than expected

It's a great hotel with clean rooms, responsive staff, a good breakfast and a nice restaurant on the porch, stopping there on a motorcycle, the hotel staff helped a lot, even though no one spoke English.

Great hotel for a small town.

We stayed 1 night at this hotel, nice clean doublebed 90TL per night(I normally put the price I paid on here because one of the big reason I look on to Tripadvisor is to compare the price with other accomodations, hotel owners who are not confident with their hotel will not be happy with this but I believe the owners who are proud of their hotels have to have a chance to show off their cheap price with good quality of hotel as well as the travelers have a right to know the price before they get to the place, and revealing the price makes the better conditions for the travelers. Sorry for making it too long)
Pros:
clean bathroom, refri in the room, staffs are very friendly, nice breakfast, wifi working well in the room, not far from otogar(bus station), nice restaurants near.
Cons:
staff who speak good english at reception, he changes his word, so if you make a tour or some other help from him, please record it with your Iphone or Ipad or some other device. He really changes his word. We experienced 2 times, and cancelled our Nemrut tour made by him. But the other staffs are very nice.

We stayed here after touring the Mt Nemrut region. As far as local hotels go, I believe we couldn't have done better than this hotel. We only stayed one night then left the next day to Urfa/Harran. It took a total of 13 hours driving from Cappadocia and touring the Mt Nemrut region. So by the time we checked in we were so exhausted that we just wanted to crash for the night. We were given a suite with a separate living area and bedroom. An extra bed was set up in the living room even though we didn't need it. The bedroom and bathroom were clean. The room decor was tacky, but we were too exhausted to care. Looking out the window in the morning, we could see how old and worn out the buildings around us were. The breakfast buffet wasn't good. We were glad we stayed there for one night only.

Good Enough for One Night

I've checked all the hotels in adyaman. this is the best for rooms, cleaning and restaurant.

That's great.

Excellent in every way, only 30 klm further from Nemrut but much better facilities and staff than Kahta hotels. 
Great restaurant next door.
