Not a hotel and a location for a family used to stay in a luxury holiday resort. Genuine and friendly little hotel surrounded by a peaceful beautiful nature, especially  exploited at breakfast on the terrace. We had the best breakfast ever in one year in Turkey (we are an Italian family living in Istanbul). We regretted that we did not have dinner after knowing that the owner is a chef who won a reward in a cooking competition in Italy. Good position to go around in a beautiful area with interesting historical places like Asos, Apollon and Troy, natural parks and beautiful places like Ayvalik Cunda and Bozcaada Islands. I would definitely suggest this area and staying in this hotel (to also note that the owners can speak English).

Hotel have a wonderful sea and mountain view, it’s so chilling when you have extraordinary food and drink with peaceful atmosphere:) i highly recommended and friendly for vegetarians;) Rooms are clean and authentic. It was a great experience👍🏻

It’a perfect for relaxing holiday destination:)

Considering the great reviews and the reputation, we went there with very high expectations hence were a bit disappointed. Hotel has its own veg and fruit gardens, it sits on the top of the hill which were all nice but that was it. Our room was tired, bathroom needed care and proper cleansing. Dinner was just ok, breakfast was great. We found it quite expensive considering what we've seen. I'm glad we only stayed there for a night.

Nothing special apart from the breakfast

The hotel is so calm, simple and the view is fantastic. The breakfast is the best that I've ever had in my life. The owners were so kind. We went there with our 6-year-old daughter, she also enjoyed their hospitality. It was an unforgettable experience and we will definitely go back for another stay.

Unforgettable experience

Every year I need to go to Zeytinbağı hotel to find peace in my soul. The rooms are very clean and sleep is the best. The people working are nice and helpful. The food is prepared from the backyard and from the fishermen down at the seaside Güre. The cook is superb. There is also a small boutique where I buy silk summer dresses. I liked walking in nature to near villages. It is not a seaside hotel for swimming but you can reach the sea in 15 minutes.

tranquility I was looking for and very good food

Zeytin Baği is a small 8-room boutique hotel, in the very old village of Çamlibel, near Edremit, on the Aegean coast. The hotel, with both rustic and minimal decoration, is set in a green setting, surrounded by more than a hundred-year-old olive trees and bordered by the mountains of the region, the Kaz dağlari. Everything is very clean, the rooms, bathrooms, garden, dependencies...A breakfast, worthy of this name, is in a beautiful dining room decorated with a lot of taste and simplicity.

Nature, calmness, serenity, simplicity, oxygen...

I had the distinct pleasure of staying at this adorable boutique hotel in November of 2016 and I can barely wait to go back on my next trip! Zeytinbagi Otel is surrounded by an authentic Turkish village that is just below the world famous Mount Ida (also a National Park). It is surrounded by beautiful flower gardens, magnificent landscapes, a restful green forest, fresh rivers, and extensive views of the Aegean Sea. 
The owners of this hotel are incredibly intelligent western-minded Turkish people with great taste in design, décor, and wine selection. Owner Cengiz Kaymak is a world famous chef who has his own cookbook featuring the local cuisine and a variety of healthy dishes that use local herbs and seasonal vegetables. 
I would like to highlight a few main reasons as to why a world traveler visiting Greece or Turkey should stay at this hotel:
Location:
This hotel is only 30 minutes north of Edremit regional airport which has direct flights from Istanbul and Izmir. Flights are only about 30 minutes.
Hotel Ambiance:
This boutique hotel has a very minimalist appearance on the outside, but it starts to blow your mind as you pass through the entrance and start walking towards the main lobby and restaurant. It’s surrounded by flower gardens, decorated with the nose of a real ship, and there are beautiful trees and tasteful design all around. It has plenty of space for public gatherings, outdoor seating, and outdoor enjoyment. 

Accommodations:
The hotel offers 8 distinct bedrooms that are tastefully designed and decorated to make you feel at home. It’s just below the natural forest, and the sounds of nature are truly intriguing. Most accommodations offer patio setting with table and chairs with extensive views of the water and endless forest.

Culinary:
Chef/Owner Cengiz Kaymak is an incredible cook who handpicks fresh produce from local farmers market regularly. He recently won a cooking contest award in Italy, and wrote his own cookbook. He also offers cooking classes to hotel guests and groups of 8-10 people upon request. His food shows his passion, and you will be blown away by his dishes. 

Restaurant:
This very tastefully designed brick structure, supported by giant beams, reminded me of a ski resort lodge house.  They play soft jazz music and offer an excellent variety of Turkish wine to pair with your meals. My business partners and I spent hours enjoying their restaurant, and believe me, it was very difficult to walk away from such an accommodating environment. 

Safety:
Despite recent security threats in Istanbul and southeastern Turkey, this region is one of the safest places to visit around the year. The local people are very welcoming of tourists, and every person we interacted with was pleasant and welcoming. 

Greek Mythology:
Aside from the Trojan War and Fair Maiden Legend, Mount Ida (which sits directly above the Zeytinbagi Otel) offers some of the best mythological stories in the entire region. It’s known as the location of the very first beauty contest between Aphrodite, Hera, and Athena. It’s a magical place!

Conclusion:
All in all, this is an excellent getaway spot that is truly a treat for anyone who is looking to enjoy a boutique hotel in a natural setting with excellent hospitality and culinary talent. It’s fairly inexpensive to fly to this region, and families or wedding parties who are looking for exclusivity can easy take over the entire 8 room hotel. I can barely wait to go back with my friends!

It is surrounded by beautiful flower gardens, magnificent landscapes, a restful green forest, and extensive view of Sea.

I am a beach girl and need to watch the sea everyday, the hotel was super nice and clean but i am so afraid of bugs and bees thats why it was not my top place to stay. So that it is a village hotel , rooms were so authentic and small.. It was not confortable but was so good to drink water from the tap( it was a natural clean water from the mountain). Restaurant of the hotel is very famous, for me it is ok for been there for dinner or breakfast.. Costs are not that cheap, be ready for everything and reservation both for hotel and for restaurant is a must!!!

Good for food not for stay

The hotel is an exceptional, very beautiful, individual complex that is lovingly planted. A wonderful outdoor area with romantic seats/terraces that are really something special in the otherwise more laid-back coastal region. We only ate there, not stayed overnight. Dining tables: delicious, fresh, varied, but not exceptional. Main course: delicious but simple, lamb chopsticks with rice, which was ok but not in any way refined or exceptional. Price performance m.E. Rather meaty.Service very friendly but diant, only Turkish spices, but with the help of English-speaking cheeses we were able to order.

Location unique & original, food overrated.

Nice coquette hotel, lost in the mountains, quiet and rest assured. Our stay was far too short to go around but what a treat, what kindness, what to do again and longer. The management speaks French and English, the staff is young but they work very hard to satisfy you. I really liked the availability of a samovar of tea (discretionally) on the terrace
