Just got back from a two night break at this fantastic B and B which was excellent    Debbie and Craig were excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them.  The food was first class and the goodies in the room were a great treat

Walford Court near Leintwardine is your quintessential Sawdays honeypot which hosts Debbie and Craig have been running now for almost 20 years. Came here Mon-Fri in midwinter to better acquaint ourselves with this beautiful part of the country and were not disappointed at all. 
The Courthouse suite is spacious, heavily beamed with recently exposed medieval timber flooring, and comprises a bedroom, en suite bathroom and sunny private sitting room with its own fridge. Yes, you can bring your own food, and there are so many books scattered about that you may just want to stay at home if the weather is bad. 
Breakfasts are scrumptuous and keep you fuelled for the rest of the day until dinner time when the choice is huge, with most nearby village pubs offering top notch meals to remind you that nearby Ludlow is the UK’s food capital and slow food the religion.

You will not want to leave

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting Ludlow. Debbie and Craig are excellent hosts . Large room with very comfy bed muffins are a special treat especially as Debbie kindly made me gluten free ones . Breakfast was also excellent. Can not fault anything and would stay again if I’m the area .

Fantastic 2 night stay

I don't write reviews generally but this little gem is a cut above anywhere we have ever stayed and it would be criminal not to give the recognition it deserves.
This is perfect for a romantic break away made so with many little touches.
The magic refilling muffin tin, the availability of extras if they weren't quite enough (Debbie's baking is a bit too good) 
Wine glasses in your room and the openess and freedom of bring your own drinks and a fridge to keep them in. 
Bath luxury goodies, candles, matches and dressing gowns.
The food is to die for and good quality locally sourced and cooked to perfection. With an excellent range in addition on the cold breakfast buffet. 
And to top it all off, this is wrapped in the care and attention of Debbie and Craig. Nothing is too much trouble with their obvious experience and eagerness to be the perfect hosts in the perfect environment shines through.
Thank you for contributing to a wonderful weekend. There will be no hesitation to return

Outstanding - Every little detail is considered

Had a lovely short break at Walford Court with Debbie and Craig the perfect hosts.
Wonderful very large room with separate lounge which made the stay really relaxing.
Breakfast was fantastic and we took a real liking to Craig’s Tattie Scones not to mention Debbie’s wonderful muffins!
Would recommend it for a chilled stay

Relaxing break

We stayed at the Walford court, a family owned farmhouse from 28 - 30th August 2020. A first for me, but was blown away from arrival through to departure by the warm and friendly reception we received and the relaxing atmosphere this place had to offer. 
The breakfast (ahhh) the breakfast!! Nothing can compete with the fresh ingredients provided on our plates and we just want to book again just for the experience of sampling the free range eggs, the sausages and the bacon! We also ordered a selection platter of pate, crackers, chutneys and cheeses for our arrival and I can honestly say, I’ve never tasted pate like the one I had with the selection platter! 
We look forward to making this place our short break staycation and we would recommend it in a heartbeat. 

Lovely weekend 

We stayed at Walford Court for two nights with some friends as we were going to a wedding nearby.  It's a really interesting old building and we felt very privileged to be able to stay there.  We stayed in the Aragon Suite, our friends in the Courtyard Room.  The bed was really comfortable and we enjoyed the roll top bath by the window.  However, the best bit of all was the breakfast which was great.  Wonderful quality, locally sourced ingredients and I especially enjoyed the selection of nuts, seeds, compotes and yoghurts.  We all said that we would be delighted to return if ever we were back in the area.

A wonderful stay

I have just had the pleasure of spending 2 wonderful nights at Walford Court being looked after by Debbie and Craig whist visiting on business. 

The accomodation is sublime with wonderful oak beams, four poster beds and amazing roll topped baths. 

Breakfast is unbeatable with fresh eggs and meat sourced from the local specialist butchers. 

I was even spoilt with a late evening omelette after returning late from a Business meeting. 

Can’t wait to return on future visits. 

Highly recommended for all travellers even those of us who can’t quite mange to bring our spouses along for the trip. 

Perfect B&B - not only for couples! 

Walford Court is a fantastic b and b in a very peaceful location near leintwardine and ludlow. The hosts are very welcoming and the accommodation spacious and comfortable. The breakfasts on offer are great. Good choice for all tastes. Their produce is locally sourced and of a high standard, alot of it home baked and reared as they have their own chickens and orchard for the eggs and fruit. We visited the ludlow medieval fair and stayed for 3 nights. Highly recommended! Loved it!
