Stayed just the one night, the room was clean and with a comfy bed and a lovely view over the countryside. Both the evening meal and breakfast were delicious with plenty of choice. The staff were all friendly and courteous and would definitely stay again.

Excellent stay

The room was lovely, family of 4 and it was plenty big enough. We had booked dinner, lovely restaurant and staff. The food was ok but it could have been better. We were leaving early so missed breakfast but the manager was great and gave us continental breakfast to take up to our room the night before so we didn’t leave hungry. The room was modern and comfortable and the bathroom was very good.
I would give 8 out of ten for this place just felt the evening meal let it down. But would use again if needed this area.

Lovely room with panoramic views over the countryside. 
The full breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked. 
Would highly recommend The Throckmorton, especially being just a short distance from Stratford upon Avon.
We will definitely stay here again.

Stopover hotel In excellent location.

Comfortable room, good food - especially the amazing breakfasts!  -and really friendly, courteous and helpful staff. Real ale too, local Purity Ubu especially good.
All made for a very pleasant 2 day stay. Hourly buses pass the door and can take you to nearby Alcester, very pleasant town, and/or on to Stratford.  Coughton Court, a National Trust property, is just across the road and, whilst undergoing major roof repairs at the moment, is well worth a visit. I'll be returning to visit the nearby Heart of England forest when it's less muddy! - and look forward to enjoying the hotel's spacious Al fresco dining area.

An ideal 2 day stay

Lovely location, good food and very comfortable bed.
Staff were very helpful and the breakfast was great!
We hope to return soon and look forward to visiting again when the weather is nicer for longer walks around the surrounding countryside.

Weekend break at Coughton

The staff at the Throckmorton are outstanding, very friendly and informative.  The room size was average  but was very comfortable, clean, and had all the amenities required.

The room was above the Pubs kitchen but the level of noise was not intrusive.

Food at the Throckmorton is fantastic, some of the best I have had from a Gastro Pub, good choices and served very quickly.  Breakfast (included with the room) was equally as impressive, quickly served, hot, and very tasty.  Would 100% recommend and return.

Great Room , Good fixtures and fittings complete with excellent On suite Shower Room. 

We had Dinner on all 4 nights  excellent choice had different meals ever night all served with a smile and very tasty 

Breakfast on all 4 days was excellent very good food served to order 

Good selection of Beer at the bar 

Great 4 night Stay will certainly return if we are down in the area in the future

Excellent meal in the restaurant, we ordered from The Friday Fish menu. Well kept real ales and a lovely Sauvignon blanc complemented the meal. Very good breakfast. All the staff warm, friendly and well trained.

One night stay with meal in restaurant.

Plenty of room to move around good size wardrobe and enough drawer space too. Good size bathroom and the bed was really comfortable. Will definitely stay here again. Great breakfast and food from the menu was plentiful and well cooked 

Brilliant

Fabulous service and a very friendly welcome.  The food was excellent. We had the fish Friday meal hitch was lovely - good size portions and very tasty. The bedroom was very nice and comfortable bed. 
Would stay again. Lovely area to visit as well.
