We stayed at the Marton in June 2023 for the World Island Games. The Staff were incredibly helpful, supportive and friendly. They went out of their way to make us feel as comfortable as possible.
We had dinner down the hill at the Pandora most evenings and we were always very happy!

Great Staff!

A nice little and comparatively inexpensive bed and breakfast in St. Peter Port, the capital of Guernsey. I was there with a friend and the room was perfectly fine: no snack and clean. The location is also very good: quiet, but still within walking distance to the city centre. The bus from the airport also stops nearby. The breakfast included the next morning was very tasty and rich.

A night on Guernsey

The Marton Hotel is at the top of Hauteville Street, so if you walk from the boat dock you're going to struggle to get there. Apart from this disadvantage we found the hotel comfortable and surrounded by gardens. Another minor disadvantage is that there is no dining room at the hotel, so we would take our dinners to the Pandora Hotel which is 10 minutes down the road towards the city centre. The internet is free but it's better to be close to the reception to have a good connection. The breakfast buffet is correct.

The staff were all very friendly, but a special mention must be made to Mayor and Veronica, who  went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. The room was super clean and the bedlinen was fresh and changed frequently. The breakfast was food was excellent and the service  efficient and welcoming. When we arrive we are told that breakfast is not included in our booking, although it is specified on our sheet. We will have to call Condors Ferry and insist on making them fold. Like croket12 which testifies lower and gives details, we find ourselves under the roof while I had reported to Condors Ferry that I was PMR. After the breakfast problem they will not insist. Besides, the hostess does not understand French and is ignorant. The employees do not speak a word of French, it is deplorable for a hotel that receives a strong French majority. At breakfast, the card is obviously addressed to the owner of the ferry, who is not responsible for installing the baggage, but it seems to me that he will not be able to help us. In my view, I will not be able to return to Guernsey.

disappointing

Room was not as advertised on booking.com
Rooms are very outdated and extremely small. 
I felt extremely claustrophobic in the room.
My legs were hanging over the bed. 
bathroom was tiny.
Rather book at their sister hotel Pandora if you are looking for budget hotel. 
Martons reminded me of a back packers lodge.

Fabulous guest house, just a 10 minute walk from the centre of St Peters Port. Room clean and very comfortable. En-suite also clean and shower  hot. Excellent breakfast with selection of cereals and juice to help yourself to and a cooked breakfast made to order. Lots of toast and tea. 
Staff friendly and helpful. Packed breakfast made for us two days when we needed an early start. We stayed for a week and consider this guest house very good value.

Value for money front of house  was spot in even when i did me ankle she got me some  ice for it. breakfast was spot too will be bk nxt yr rooms clean and tidy you pay for what you get vale for the price  will be bk for a week nxt year

Good value with rooms good size and clean.Breakfast excellent value especially as prices in Guernsey are generally more expensive.About a 15 minute walk from the front so be aware as no public transport passes the Guest House but well worth the effort.
