The room was big and light, everything that mattered was clean, the staff were extraordinarily kind, friendly and helpful.

Comfort and kindness

I stayed here at the end of March for a family funeral in the local town nearby and it was a pleasant experience.  The receptionist on check in, Aimee, was friendly and professional. The morning receptionist ,Jasmine, was nice and friendly and we could tell she knew the local area as she was helpful giving directions and recommendations. The room was nice and spacious for the three of us, bit run down could do with a coat of paint and a good dusting…The breakfast was also very tasty! My son loved the pancakes and chocolate spread :) would stay again if in the area

I’ve stayed many times over the years. 

+ rooms are fine in general
+ balcony with views over small cricket ground 
+ plenty of easy parking
+ quick snd easy to M5 / Alconbury area

- aircon removed from use 
- use of stand alone fans and heaters 
- poor Wi-Fi
- pub onsite is Greene King and meal availability is unreliable

If you’re thinking of eating at the on-site pub (not aligned with PI) then book ahead.

We arrived at 8.15pm, raining and were refused a table as they take ‘bookings only’. We were livid as there are no other eateries around and had to drive 5 mins for a kebab in the car!

I stay at this hotel every week for work. It is easy to access from the main road network.
Areeb on reception is always there to help with any issues that I might have and is very helpful.  The rooms are as to be expected from a Premier Inn, with very comfortable beds and everything I need for an over night stay. Would highly recommend.

Best stay in Bristol

I booked 2 rooms for 4 of us, & we chose this location as it is close to Bristol assembly hall where we attended a Christian convention the next day. On arrival we were dismayed to find that one of the rooms absolutely wreaked of cigarettes- we could smell it in the corridor before even opening the door. When we told reception they said they couldn’t offer another room. My Portuguese friends had to try to sleep in that offensive smelling room and obviously their lovely clean clothes caught the cigarette smell, not to mention the health issues of sleeping in a smoky room. We were attending an assembly day where no one present smokes cigarettes, so the whole experience was distressing & embarrassing for them. I don’t understand why the staff who made that room up didn’t open the window, or why they allowed it to be allocated to guests at all.

We booked to stay at the Premier Inn Alveston on September 16th. We drove into the car park and our first thought was “this can’t be it”. The place resembled a 1960s school building. Some of the white fascia boards on the building were broken and others were green with moss or mould. We entered the reception area, which was a grey dull space, checked in with some trepidation and headed to our room. The 1960s school building theme carried on along the corridor and just when we thought that things might get better, we went into the room to find that we were mistaken. It was reminiscent of a old fashioned roadside motel room, rather than what we expected from Premier Inn. There were chunks of plaster knocked out of the wall, paint was peeling from the window frames, there were dusty surfaces and an unidentifiable stain on the toilet seat. We felt dirty just standing in the room. We went back down to reception to point out the problems, only to be told, without apology, that there were no other rooms available.

There was no way that we could spend a night in that place and we were willing to forfeit our pre-paid booking cost not to. So we retreated to our car and after some phoning around, found another Premier with a vacancy. This was excellent and all that we would expect from Premier Inns. 

Having used Premier Inns the length and breadth of the country for over thirty years, I can honestly say that this was the worst that we have ever encountered and had this been the first Premier we had tried, we would never had used them again. This place is damaging the reputation of Premier Inns and needs closing down as soon as possible.

From checking in and being given an accessible room that I refused, caused the reception team major problems to find me a normal room.
The room I got was tiny and noisy.
I asked for room to be cleaned during my 3 night stay and it wasn’t.

Avoid this place at all costs. There's a strong smell of damp in the rooms, the bedding was covered with stains and the key-card access stopped working twice. I booked it especially for the late check-out time and (obviously) internet access, as I had a Zoom meeting to attend in the morning, but the wifi was down the entire time causing a lot of stress. The miserable exterior just completed the experience, which was not cheap.

Adding insult to injury, I made a complaint in July and received an email in August saying this would be investigated and a promise to get things resolved. It's now nearly October with no further news. After such poor customer service I would not trust Premier Inn again, and especially not Bristol Alveston.

Appalling

good hotel next to a great pub (amazing food) clean, comfy and they have a restaurant for Breakfast, full English or continental. Tracey and Roz are amazing and really bent over backwards for our wedding party - thanks ladies, keep up the good work :)

Great location, friendly staff, very good rooms with a balcony and fantastic breakfast. Shall the AC was not working though. Ideal place to stay when training at Eastwood Park. I would recommend to anyone.
