Stayed here as attending a family funeral...we had 4 rooms and all were excellent. Massive rooms, very modern bathroom...tea/coffee/hot choc and biscuits and water left for us. Very nice staff throughout the pub, breakfast good standard - as usual. I've honestly never seen such high ceilings and long curtains!!! Would definitely stay again if needed to.

Hi I'm just writing this review customer service is spot on my only problem is that none of the kitchen staff wear Gloves provided when handling other people's meals... This is unhygienic and unprofessional..I don't think any of the kitchen staff fully understand the reasons behind COSHH..or they would be wearing gloves...

Kitchen staff 

The staff on Reception and Housekeeping were exceptionally friendly and chatty, such a great welcome.  This being a big hotel it gets it's own dedicated Reception area accessed directly off the street through a separate door from the pub.  3 lifts is a bonus and everything is so smart, modern and appealing.  My 1st floor room was to the side of the building and was a quiet haven.  Super comfy bed, deep pillows and a decent duvet plus 2 comfortable chairs.  THE most effective air con in a UK hotel at both ends of the temperature scale!  Barrow is a bit depressing in areas of the town centre, especially on a Sunday when only a very few of the remaining shops open.  However, widen your scope and there's some stunning statues and architecture to be found.  Also a walk down to The Dock Museum opens up views and brings you to the retail park with all the shops which are missing from the town centre.  The hotel is a flat 5 minute walk from the railway station and all key bus routes serves the stops nearby.  Only downside was the big jump in price from the Sunday night to the Monday night.

So Friendly

A really great experience at this establishment.The staff on reception are really friendly and all the rooms are spacious and very comfortable . With it being a Wetherspoons hotel food and drink readily available and at reasonable prices. The only downside is the parking facilities.

 We had a brilliant two night stay.
Room service was excellent, beds made daily, fresh towels daily and bottled water.
Spacious rooms and excellent staff.
All for £70 per night!!!!
The breakfast menu was extensive and quality food.

We stayed for 2 nights in january and it is the best wetherspoons hotel we have stayed in so far
Room 348 was excellant being on a corner with views down 2 streets a large bed and a shower and a bath
The staff were all very hard working and its the first wetherspoons we have found with a wood burner
 Have stayed in 6 wetherspoons hotels previously and this is the best and the only one with a car park

A lovely big pub, a real fire and a good atmosphere. We had breakfast twice which was good. We only realised it was a hotel once we entered but we will be back to stop in the summer. We didn't get to go out to the beer garden as the weather was terrible but the pub was cosy.

Lovely stay in Barrow, rooms clean, shower worked, free bottle of water to fix dry mouth in a morning. Some art by Charlie on the wall, an excellent piece, Cleaner was a work of art aswell. To top it off there was a lovley grow in the room (Image attached) I do love me some nature. Recommend

Swift check-in, clean communal areas.

We were in room 349 for two nights - this is one of the furthest from reception and faces out on to Dalton Road. Room was huge with a very large bed, telly, kettle and bottled water. Plenty of lights in room (which is not always the case with many hotels), including two bedside lamps plus two reading spotlights. Bathroom had a rainfall shower (which I'm not massively keen on as I like a shower head that can be taken off) but had good water pressure and was nice and hot. Room and bathroom were very clean.

Bed was made, towels were changed and tea and coffee bits were refilled every day.

Some rooms can get a bit noisy - on Saturday night I could hear the band playing at the pub over the road, but this is to be expected in a town-centre location. The windows are single-glazed wooden sash but there is secondary glazing installed which certainly helped to block out some noise (happily, the windows can still be opened to let fresh air in).

Efficient air-con/heating system, comfy bed and extra pillows left on top of wardrobe.

Extremely good value for money, and all staff that we encountered were super!

Fantastic budget hotel

We had never stayed in a weatherspoons before and we were pleasantly supprised. When we arrived we sat in the beer garden where we had reasonably priced drinks.
We were able to store two push bikes in our room which was great, and there was a lift which was a bonus.
The rooms were really big and the bathroom was large and modern.
The biscuits were really nice too. 
We ordered breakfast in the morning which was lovely.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
The only thing I would say is I didn't like the pillows but I noticed in the morning that I could have asked for a different kind.
