After reading the last couple of reviews I had doubts on wether to cancel or not, I’m so glad I didn’t !
We booked the family room (Tornado) the room is more like a little flat, living room, kitchen large bathroom.
Everything in there was clean, bed linen & towels smelt lovely, kitchen & bathroom spotless , bed was really comfortable with excellent pillows !
We knew that the pub had a live band playing and there would be noise but it was all done and dusted by 11pm
Lovely crowd of people in the pub, very friendly.
Breakfast in the morning was spot on, couldn’t complain at all .
We will definitely return and would recommend it to friends and family 💯
Please give it a try , the reality of it is that some people want champagne & caviar on a pie and a pint price !!! Great value for money I’d say 👍🏻

Perfect place

Booked a room, on arrival the building was closed. Rang landline number several times with no reply. Went back to hotel and noticed an emergency number which we rang. The lady said 'we don't open until 4pm' although in booking.com it states 2pm. but she did send a young girl to let us in. On entering the closed building it smelt damp and unclean. The young girl advised that we would be in the hotel on our own until morning, when she would come back to book breakfast. We questioned fire procedures to be told she is only a 2 minute drive up the road. We decided not to stay there!!

Awful !!

I stayed here with my daughter & my elderly  grandmother. It really was a shambles! It was dirty & so run down ! We were shocked at such low standards! It was dusty, dirty & the carpets are a disgrace, stained & full of bits (this includes the breakfast area)! The bathroom cleanliness was just unacceptable ! The drawers were full of dust & what looked like tobacco in one! The hairdryer attachments didn’t fit & when used smelled of burning (presumably from the dust in the drawer it was kept in ) the kettle didn’t fit the stand properly! The remote was the wrong remote for the tv! There was no headboard & missing bulbs in lights! Breakfast was a shambles! The were no spoons at all both mornings! No orange juice both mornings, no milk jugs just a carton to share between tables! The sugar was hard, a half empty jar of marmalade to share between tables. & only the offer of tea no coffee! The breakfast itself was nice & the girl serving it was very pleasant though. All the staff were pleasant & helpful which was nice. It really needs a good face lift & a good clean through out!! I don’t like writing this kind of review but just feel it necessary so as others don’t experience the same disappointment. 

Shambles of a stay!!

Staff friendly and helpful. Shower worked well. Bed was OK. TV fine. Toilet hadn't been cleaned - spare you the detail. Bathroom floor stained. No bath mat provided. Just one third of a roll of thin toilet paper in bathroom. Bedroom ceiling light; 3 spots instead of a light that lit the room properly. One stayed on. One stayed off. One switched on / off every so often. Sound from rear of building like extractor fan all night. Not noisy but loud enough to make it harder to sleep with window closed. Curtains too small. No information in room not even WIFI code. Breakfast basic and on small side. Very cheap sausage. Few buffet options - least I've ever seen. Slice of white toast served with breakfast - no option given. Whole place quite tired. Basic no frills - mostly OK for the money. Would stay again for the price but would hope the room had been better serviced and probably skip breakfast.

I turned up with no reservation around 11 in the morning a lovely lady called Karen I think ? was at the bar I asked her if there was a room available she was very professional welcoming she had a look at her book and said yes we have. 
She let me have and early check in that was amazing as I was tried from traveling and needed to sleep
The room was lovely with ensuite bathroom and shower and very comfortable and modern and clean. 
I was working on the night at a local theatre and when I returned to the pub later it was still open so had a few drinks and went to bed I slept amazingly. 
The breakfast was a pre order and time which was great for me as I set my alarm I went down at 9.15 to a lovely charm breakfast area the waitress was there to welcome me with a good morning and my coffee and my breakfast was with me in no time my poached eggs on toast they was lovely. 
There is great parking across the road for £4 for 24 hours that’s fab and I left my car there as Bridgnorth is a nightmare to park anywhere. 
Overall a fantastic place to stay and a great bar and friendly staff and it was great value for money what more can you ask for

A fantastic place to eat drink and stay

Stopped for a meal on Steak night. Great service, lovely menu and good atmosphere and very good value for money. All great stuff and staff. I think it is under new management is was clean and fresh.

Booked this hotel for one night. It’s 10 at night and they have live music in the pub below my room, my whole room is vibrating. The place is small and heaving with people and it will be impossible to find someone who can give me another room. Not good!

What a great place, probably the best value for money in recent memory. The staff were helpful and pleasant. Room was warm, the shower was fab (personal pet hate if shower is poor).
Breakfast...where to start....great., plentiful is amazing surroundings.

What a hidden gem!

My single room was quite small but adequate. It had a number of faults which meant that I felt I had to complain about. The on-duty staff handles my comments politely and efficiently but what really stood out was that the 4 faults in my room (i.e. no handle on the window so it could not be closed to keep the room warm and quiet; the radiator valve obviously broken so no heating on a chilly autumn evening; on 2 of the 6 lights working and an impressive crop of black mould in the shower).
I was told that the manager would be told about these faults! If the manager was on top of the job, he/she would have known about them, not waiting for a guest to find them.
As luck (!) would have it, there was not another room so the staff found me another hotel which meant finding my way to the other hotel in a strange town.

A neglected room

AVOID this scruffy pub. The room was named The Flying Scotsman and was disgusting. I removed four spiders within half an hour, there were cobwebs in every corner and cranny even on the light fittings/furniture and skirting boards. The carpet was badly stained and the wall adjacent to the dressing table had old tea & coffee splashes down it. The wall behind the TV and also above the dressing table were wet and stained due to water ingress as was the ceiling. In the bathroom, again disgusting the floor tiles were cracked and the shower had black mould everywhere. The room obviously hadn't had a good clean in a long time- even the door panels were thick with dirt and dust!!  No wonder all the windows were open when we arrived!! Disgusting and disappointing so be warned ⚠️
