My husband & I have just returned from a four night stay at Hensleigh House & we honestly couldn't fault a thing.
The house & rooms are spotlessly clean & the breakfast was delicious every morning with a choice of a full English, cereal, yogurts & fruit.
For us it was a perfect place to stay as we love to visit Lyme Regis which was a ten minute drive away whenever we visit Dorset.
Parking was off road with plenty of spaces.
Would we return ? Definitely, in fact we're looking at booking for next "Twixmas".
Thank you Warren for your delicious breakfasts & also to the lady that served us every morning, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A Perfect Base For Exploring Dorset, Devon & Somerset 

Perfectly situated within minutes of the beach. Small, beautifully decorated B&B. Ample parking. Excellent cooked breakfast. Good shower. Slightly hard mattress but overall a very nice small hotel/B&B.
Honesty bar serving mainly wine and beer. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

Small B&B very near Charmouth Beach

We chose this B&B based on the previous reviews, the location, parking and the fact that it is free of dogs. We spent a very pleasant week here and if I returned to Charmouth this would be my first choice to stay. Parking here is easy and the spaces are wide enough for even large cars. The rooms are immaculate and are a very comforting space to be in. Breakfast is freshly good and of a high standard. The owners and staff are also very friendly and happy to provide advice about the local area. Location wise, the B&B is a very short stroll to the beach or a couple of minutes walk from the nearest bus stop. These buses take you between Axminster and Weymouth stopping at most towns like Lyme Regis en-route. 

Dog free heaven!

An absolutely  immaculate house with plenty of private parking, on a very quiet road leading down to Charmouth beach -  great for fossil hunters! Decor was tasteful and modern with quality furnishings and  carpets. There is a spacious breakfast room, a comfortable guest lounge with honesty bar (very reasonable prices) and loads of local information to look at. Our bedroom was compact but easily comfortable enough for three nights. Breakfasts were good, not a huge choice but very nicely cooked and well presented, plus fruit, cereals and yoghourt etc.   There are two pubs in the village for evening meals, both ok, and a chipshop which does pizza too. Jane the owner kindly offered to let us bring takeaway food back to eat in the breakfast room if we wanted to. If we had wanted to drive out to eat, there are many nice pubs and restaurants in nearby Lyme Regis. 



Great base for touring the area. 

Fantastic kerb appeal with ample parking for all guests. Welcomed on arrival, clean, open and airy dining room with an adjacent lounge for guests. The room was well appointed, recently refitted/upgraded/decorated. So quiet. Breakfast included everything we needed, served by friendly and efficient staff, cooked to order. Short walk to the beach one way, and the pub and local store. Ideal for travelling to Lyme, Bridport and other nearby attractions. We’re looking to return in the near future to explore further.

Absolute gem in all respects

We visited with our  2 daughters and their sons aged 13 & 7.  Jayne was so helpful at looking after us.  Rooms were all excellent, well planned and comfy beds. Excellent breakfast. Good position with plenty of parking.  We couldn't fault anything. Thank you Jayne 

A very comfortable B & B

Hensleigh is so close to the beach , large carpark and the village has two decent pubs with food. 
Walking up from the B&B to the main road we found that the pub uphill on the left to be a notch above the pub further down with a more inventive menu . 

Now on to Hensleigh House ... we stayed in the smaller double room - nothing else was available . It is small  costs £119 per night with breakfast ... a much larger room cost just £4 per night more but was not available.

The bed was comfortable but we could hear the sound of the people in the room above ? ..to the left ? having a shower late at night/early morning ...a 3 person /family room ??

Good breakfast ... clean modern B&B... great situation so close to the beach . 

So close to the beach

A lovely, clean spacious B&B with ample parking where we could keep our car parked from the moment we checked in until we left. The hostess could not do enough for us. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice of local produce. Charmouth is a lovely, quiet place and this B&B was a super find..and so close to the sea. Thank you.

A lovely B&B

Three couples spent two nights in this lovely hotel last month,  and we could not have been more delighted with our choice. 
In the first place, we had to postpone our visit for one month because of illness of one of our group,  and Jayne the proprietor was very helpful in rearranging our trip.
On arrival,  the welcome was friendly and efficient,  and our rooms were just perfect,  well equipped and furnished,  and spotlessly clean.
The breakfasts were a joy to eat,  with a vast range of dishes to choose from, and all cooked to perfection. 
Next time we are in that part of the country,  we won't need to spend any time researching our accommodation,  as we've already found it.

Lovely place to stay

My wife and 2 kids and I wanted to go Fossil hunting at Charmouth so I got a 'simple B&B close to the beach with (first world problems  - a parking spot). I appreciate not everyone's budget is the same but it is extremely reasonable and Im a sem-retired teacher so not exactly Elon. 

Mini suite of 2 adjoining rooms each amazingly presented and with an exquisite,homely feel and a shower and WC of huge size and great quality.

Now the price was good and the location is perfect but the attention to detail in absolutely everything was astonishing. The hosts are truly lovely people and the feel that you are being treated is in every aspect of this exceptional B&B. We were lucky with the weather  but finding  this utter gem made my sons trip (8 year old aspiring palaeontologist) and for that I thank you. Its like a boutique hotel that doesn't do dinner..)

No apologies for the hugely positive review...this place is awesome and I have travelled a lot and stayed at many B&B...they've been great but this is the first I thought to myself; we HAVE to go back.

NB: My confession /apology is that we visited in April but I didn't get my act together and post and that option was unavailable.
