A great location as and easy seafront walk into town . The Marriland was really clean and would stay there again if I was in Broadstairs. In the studio booking in the kitchen was free milk orange juice tea and coffee and crisps. All said a good place to stay. 

Worth a visit.

Just booked and paid via booking.com 30 Dec to 1 Jan.

Now I’ve received a message from the owner saying they are actually full those dates.

I find that very unprofessional, especially after booking dinners / lunches and other bits.

Now back to the drawing board for NYE!!

You absolutely can not fault this place.
Spotlessly clean, attention to detail, fridge had water, juice and milk.  A nice tray in the room with snacks.  Bathroom smelt devine and had bath, shampoo & conditioner (plentiful, not your average dinky bottle stuff you get in a hotel), cotton buds and cotton pads. Plenty of tea and coffee.
A throughly well thought out place and we will definitely stay again. Too marks from us, oh and review made from the very comfy bed 😊

Amazing  studio

Just realised I hadn't left a review despite staying a couple of times; once on my own and once with family and dog. Both times excellent service, very clean and a topnotch welcome pack. Accommodation is more like a proper flat than holiday home... all the stuff you need, kitchen-wise, crockery, etc

We visit Annette at Merrilands every year in August. This was our 5th visit and we can honestly say we would not stay anywhere else if we are visiting Broadstairs/Margate. 

Our apartment is always spotless. There are always little touches in the kitchen and the bathroom.

Annette is the most amazing host!!

Annette couldn’t have been more helpful. Great communication and was a real star after my car got a puncture on the way down. Great access to the town centre and onsite parking is a real bonus - even with only three tyres ! Highly recommend and great value for money.

Don’t hesitate to book

Having been double booked in the choice of hotel, we hastily looked and found Merrland's.

What a fantastic find.  We had the 3 bedroom apartment and as well as being palatial and extremely clean, it was well equipped.

Annette, our host, was so professional and delightful.  Parking was a real bonus and the crisps and biscuits was a very nice touch.

We will definitely be coming back

Absolutely lovely place to stay. Annette welcomed us from the start and made sure we had everything we needed. Clean, spacious 2 bed apt with lots of little extras. We will definetly be coming back!! A little treasure x

A little find in Brodstairs!

Merrilands is in a road called the Vale which is an attractive lane with some very attractive houses.  Merrilands is very imposing along this lane and is a short walk to the beach although being disabled a scooter or wheelchair is advisable as the promenade at Vikings Bay is quite high up and although a ramp exists my husband found the whole experience quite difficult and tiring.  The town is lovely, some nice boutiques and places to eat and of course the local mini golf course nearby.  We booked Merrilands on Booking.com and I think it will be the last time we use booking.com because you tend to get the smallest rooms in the venue always.  This time we gave them another chance because friends said they hadn't experienced similar but I wouldn't do it again.  Always call and book with the owner.  Perhaps you will get more choice.  The car park at the front of Merrilands is very small and goodness knows how four cars can park on the front of it but they do.  We decided to park up the road and walk down.  Merrilands is self catering and our room had the tiniest kitchen I have ever seen.  It has a microwave and a George Foreman and a toaster, a tiny sink and plates and cutlery in a small cupboard.  It had what we needed but in a very small space.  We were in the room on the ground floor to the right of the stairs approaching the front door.  There's a small dining table for two which literally just fits into the window alcove.  I wasn't as impressed with Broadstairs as I thought I would be and a bit disappointed by the room size to be honest.  However, my cheeriness improved when I spotted parakeets flying around outside.  Amazing.

Small but together

From the moment we arrived and parked right outside our room, things were looking good. The extremely friendly and personable host, Annette came out and gave me a warm welcome, showing me the room and explaining the facilities in great detail. She then took time out to go and say hello and welcome to my wife who was sitting in the car. 

The location is only a few minutes walk from both the quiet Louisa Bay Beach and the busier Viking Beach with the town centre almost as close to.

I cannot really fault this venue, particularly for singles, couples and small families.
