We had a great stay at this property, it was perfect for a weekend escape. The location couldn’t be better, the host was super kind (thanks for everything!) and the room was clean and nicely upgraded. Smooth check in and check out. Fairly priced and a better overall experience and cleanliness than a similar accommodation we experienced in Conwy. 

Perfect for our weekend in Conwy

Our first time to Conwy and our visit to the George and Dragon. We arrived at about 2.30 pm on Saturday 23rd September. Ordered our main meals and drinks. When we finished our mains, I went to the bar and asked for the suite menu. It was then that I was told that the kitchen was closed. We could not order our sweet. This is the first time ever that we have not finished our meal because they had closed their kitchen. They should have told us that this might happen, as we would have eaten elsewhere. I was fuming!

We have been disappointed with all pubs in Conwy this unfortunately added to the list- beer garden outside was full of rubbish and weeds everywhere. Womens toilets were both engaged so had to use the mens not sure why that would be the case- need a good decorating and update.

Old musty pub

Great pub in Conwy town. 
I’ve been here numerous times for drinks and always had a friendly welcome. 
They have a great selection of drinks and regular offers. 
The new owners have worked really hard to improve the premises and have done a great job. 
The pub itself is really cozy and welcoming. 
The beer garden at the back is spacious and well equipped with heaters and umbrellas for all weather use. 
It was really sad to read a recent fake review that this pub received. 
Don’t believe everything you read on trip advisors and check the pub out for yourself.

Great pub in Conwy Town

This was more of a 3.5 review but couldn’t do that obviously. This is a bit of a tourist trap and half got the feeling that some of the staff found the tourists a bit of an inconvenience. 

Other members of staff were really helpful though (and a bit more patient) and the kids meal portions were just about the right size, although everyone forgot about the dessert course so we ended up going without.

Food was fine

Called in lunch time and ordered some sandwiches they came out in good time and they were very good.
They could of done with more bar staff as there was a young girl who was training and was having a lot of trouble with the till and ordering system but the woman training her had to deliver food etc. Both were working hard but an extra pair of hands would have speeded up bar service.

Visited here for lunch whilst we were in Conwy and it did not disappoint. All the staff we encountered were really friendly and helpful.

We managed to get a nice table outside and were served quickly despite it being quite a busy Saturday lunchtime. All of our meals were lovely and reasonably priced. We recommend the chicken burger, steak and ale pie and the halloumi fries! 

We would definitely come back here for food if we were in the area (we tried the pub next door first as it was the first one we stumbled across and all they had was vegan food, which is not a problem but just wasn’t our taste and meant the menu was very limited)

Excellent service and lovely good value for money pub food.

Burgers in particular were very nice, lovely chips too

Would definitely go again, families welcome and you can sit outside which a real bonus

Visited George and dragon for a drink after a meal in the town, it was quiz night, got a couple of cokes sat down, was quite interested in listening to the quiz, we visit every year, there was another family in there on holiday, asked for another drink at 9.50 pm, to be told no and get out my f…. Pub, why??, they were on holiday too, they made a comment must be welsh laws, ho my goodness the man (manager?) came from behind the bar approaching one of the ladies, very aggressive, to remove them and called them racist???, threatening with police!!??, sadly we found this very uncomfortable and decided to leave, will never return again and will never recommend, very unprofessional and aggressive behaviour, he had clearly been drinking, this is a very bad experience for tourists.

Had a great time as always, foods great, especially the new chicken combo they started. Staff are always friendly as well.  Dog friendly as well. Would highly recommend if anyone is passing through Conwy!
