Well paid for this hotel for a night's stay through booking. Com only to get here and its all boarded up!! Contacted booking. Com waiting and waiting and wait ING for them to resolve this. Been sat crying as we have been tra elling for over 5 hours. This is a joke!! 

Needed help 

Unbelievably bad. An absolute disaster. Sleep in your car. Or in the gutter. Wake up in zoo, like that bloke in american werewolf in london.  But never, ever stay here. Unless you are a Coventry crack head, in which case, come on over, it's great. 
As for a wedding venue? I'd rather not get married.

Sh##hole. With a capital S...

This place is a shambles from start to finish. We held an event at the hotel and the communication from the management there is despicable. They really have no care for you or your guests and will do anything to get your money, They were threatening us on the morning of our event even when we agreed terms way in advance adding stress to what should have been a very special day. The actual venue is disgusting and we were made a lot of promises - none of which came to fruition and like others, failed to let us know they hadn't renewed their venue licence because they FAILED Health and Safety checks so we couldn't get married there. Thank god the Registrar let us know otherwise they probably would never have told us - turns out they did this to everyone. No compensation offered and no remorse from them either.  I can only echo the other reviews of this hotel and registar suggest anyone even thinking about staying here or holding an event here to AVOID. They are thieves and ruined what should have been the happiest day of our lives. Ravi and Suneel - you should be ashamed of yourselves!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Disgusting, Vile, Incompetent Staff, Filthy.  Should be condemned.  First room I was given, I opened the door and there was someone in the bed!!!! Second room had someone staying in it and wow was it a mess!! Receptionist then went through all the rooms to find 1 that was available (what if there is a fire!!!!).  She gave me a room that was......... well a room.  Promising to bring me a key card up.  The bathroom had a toilet that wasn’t fixed to the wall or floor.  Holes and mould everywhere.   Disgusting.   I went off in search of a key card and asked 1 of the staff if they could get me 1.  She then started speaking to what I can only imagine was a manager (mismanager) who proceeded to shout at her, told her not to “p***s me off or you get this!!!!!!!! And slapped her.  In all my life I’ve never seen or stayed in anything so disgusting.  

This hotel is in terrible dilapidated  condition throughout.  There is a large number of homeless people housed here as well as being used as a bail hostel. Very noisy at night, and dubious safety. Frequent emergency service call outs with residents setting off fire alarms smoking drugs in corridors. Really think again before staying here.

I have been staying in hotels as part of my job, ever since around 1983. In all of this time, I have never stayed in such a s###hole as the Allesley. Dirty, and full of dropouts.
I cannot imagine why anyone in their right mind would post a positive review on this place, it really is the pits.
Sleep in your car, under a hedge. Anywhere but here.

Positives
- Warm room
- Clean Bedding and Towels
- Met Basic requirements of having a place to crash
- Could make a brew in the morning
- Nice welcoming pub at the Rainbow Inn 

Negatives

- Bathroom was disgusting, holes in the walls and doors
- When you used the sink it was not draining properly, and slowly dripped on to the floor
- Couldnt use the bath, no bath plug
- Shower was unusable 
- Couldnt purchase drinks due to a separate function on
- Was told we were not allowed to sit in the reception talking with friends and got told to sit in our room
- Room smely fusky 
- Carpet was not laid properly and was wrinkled at one end and had no carpet at the other
- Window Frames rotted 

Paid £55 for a night and it was shocking, more like a £25 per night standard.

I let reception know of the faults and the response was 'oh sorry'.

Would not book again, quite clearly they are trying to renovate and build on improving the hotel but needs more than just a lick of paint to improve the hospitality. 

Inadequate and Rude

AVOID!!! My best friend had her wedding here and from start to finish all they did was cause her stress and anxiety. They didn’t uphold their contract which included the civil ceremony to take place here. 7 days before the wedding she was told by Coventry registry office - Ravi nor Suneel communicated any of this to her and they were well aware due to checks being carried out and the same thing happening to a couple the weekend before her wedding. On the day itself the mandap set up was TOTALLY CHANGED by Suneel (event organiser) - again no consultation with anyone. The bride was shown a picture and fobbed off with “Ive made some upgrades” they had booked and PAID for a wooden mandap but instead there was a 4 pillars and a cloth. The lychee mocktail she had chosen was replaced by a mojito - again ON THE DAY with no consultation. When questioned Suneel replied with “I’m not hosting a kids party” (because the lychee mocktail was blue). DONT BOOK YOUR WEDDING HERE or use the company for any weddings. They have other wedding venues around the UK. Company name is Talash Hotels.

When I arrived the toilet was unflushed and the sink was dirty. I rang reception and the receptionist moved me to another room and apologised, so that was fine, but the new room (101, how appropriate) was right next to the very noisy lift and also a deivery lorry parked right outside it at 6.45 the following morning and proceeded to unload extremely noisily, 6 feet from the window, which would not close fully. The whole place is very down-at-heel with a musty, damp aroma everywhere and lots of dirt in the communal areas. The other guests all looked like hostel residents rather than holidaymakers or business people. I almost felt threatened by the large number of men on their own, who were all very friendly to me. Nobody was rude or threatening or even persistent but as a single businesswoman I felt uncomfortable.The breakfast was rice crispies or cornflakes, white or brown sliced bread, plus some keep warm tureens containing bacon, sausage, fried eggs, mushrooms (all swimming in grease) and some baked beans. They had some orange juice, and luke warm tea and disgusting coffee in large urns which you had to press fifty times to fill a cup. Plus they wouldn't give me a receipt as the printer wasn't working and they promised to email me one but it still hasn't come.

I wish I'd read the reviews before I booked - dreadful

Find another hotel, or sleep on the street....its will be safer and cleaner!

1. The door lock didn't work , reception did not have any urgency to assist.
2. The room smelt urine
3.The carpet is 1000 year old!
4.Another guest found someone in her room when coming out of the shower !
