I've never seen a dirtier room than this hostel, the bathroom is better than we talked about, and I'm still looking for someone to complain to, because there was only one girl the night we arrived, and that's just because I don't look for opinions before booking... it's really a fraud.

Gilmore hotel Id rather wipe my ass with the money I spent to stay in this  squat general state of the place smelly vile customer service I would advise not to book here manager never available just don’t no how he gets away with calling it a guesthouse

Nothing but entering disappointes you, no one receives you. When you enter the house it smells bad. You get into the room and it doesn't look like the photos at all. Sickness, leave... The window doesn't close at all because there was a lot of noise and it was cold. The shower doesn't go off well so soon you get water from your knees. Finally, very unpleasant everything. Almost 130€ per night, a veranda.

We wanted to save a little money so we booked this place - worst mistake ever. We received a two bedroom room - in total, there are about 8 rooms in the whole building and, from what I could find, one communal bathroom (for me this is a big no-no as everyone has different standards of cleanliness, and you can imagine what the bathroom may have looked like at the end of the day if no one cleans it). The bed that I had had a big dip in the middle of the mattress, making it very uncomfortable to sleep on.

Additionally, one day we left in the morning to see the city; when we returned at 4pm, our room smelled as though it had been freshly painted. We went to complain and were told by the man who was painting that he was instructed to paint, and that's exactly what we had done. As guests, we had received no warning that someone would be painting our room, and no one had bothered to open the window to air out the room. On top of that, when we asked if there was a possibility to switch rooms if the paint smell did not go away, we were told, plainly, no. 

For me I had such a bad experience staying at this B&B and experienced such poor customer service, even to the point of not caring, that I strongly advise anyone of staying here, even for just one night.

Avoid this place

Room was clean, beds were very comfortable and a good sleep, bathroom was a bit small. For the price I couldn't complaint really. Walking in the door it smelt really good. 
Would stay again and I would recommend to friends and family.

Lovely Stay

We got a short vacation without our kids for the first time in 5 years. Since we didn't really swim in the money, we said to ourselves that we were looking for a cheaper guest house, since we're rarely in the room. We've often been in backpackers in South Africa, but we've never experienced anything like this. The room with a double bed and a single bed (which we only booked, and paid extra dearly because we wanted our own bathroom) was suddenly just a double bed. When we asked, we were told that we were only two, and we didn't need three beds... well, but why not look for the double beds??? The double beds were very disastrous, but we didn't clean ourselves. Unfortunately, the only kind of caterpillar we had to use was a single bed, and we paid extra dearly because we wanted our own bathroom. And then we could not do anything like this for a couple of days, and we couldn't say, Sorry, we didn't want to leave the bathroom for a couple of days, and then we couldn't do anything like this one

I was very upset that, before my arrival at the same guest house, they did not change the bed in my reserved room. I myself looked at the whole bed, which was dirty. You must pay damages. Because this dirty opstel can be harmful to health, but it’s very good that it took protective sheets and anti-bacterial soap with it! And I was also very surprised that one pregnant employee works hard for you. And why else your other employees will not help her work ??? Shame on you?

Positive points: good location and close to everything, rather quiet when other guests are respectful, good wifi reception on the ground floor, storage available, secure house (entry code), clean room on arrival. Negative points: small beds and mattresses not comfortable, no pressure in the shower and water not very hot, the window did not open and a velvety window without curtains so even in the daytime in the morning not cool, the staff is almost nonexistent and on arrival we had not passed the door that we were asked directly who were without a greeting, no housekeeping service every day.

For the price, that's right.

The shower did not work.  We had to ask for towels and there was no soap in the bathroom.  The whole place felt dirty.  Our daughter got a bite on her face after our first night of sleeping in the bed sheets...Don’t go there.  Simple as that!

Do not book this ”guesthouse”

Literally don’t even know where to begin. It was so bad we didn’t even stay here. We booked straight in to another hotel. Didn’t even get a refund which is the most disgusting vile customer service ever. Food all over the floor and hairs. Stains everywhere you look. Bedding not even cleaned. Stains all over the tea making area. Sticky with rubbish sugar and tea sachets hadn’t even been chucked away. It’s actually laughable how bad this place is. I’ve stayed in some bad hotels and not really been bothered but this place is honestly something else. Absolute Pitts. Just please don’t bother, it’s cheap but even the price is overpriced for what it is.
