Stayed here mid October 2023 for 2 nights for a training course locally. Hotel is very tired and run down. Rooms are clean as is bedding and bathroom. But rooms are very tired. Bed was damaged around base and desk laminated edging was coming off. Bathroom had mold and sealant was very grubby.  But the staff as normal where very good.

As title. The whole hotel is very tired inside and out. And my issues might only be minor. But they are first impression and they tend to stick. If you've travel a few hours to get there and the first thing you see is tired building and a litter filled car park you think the worse. 

Tried and Run down. Relaying reputation a little to much

Very clean and comfortable, bathroom sparkling, really good value only 10 minutes drive from Wales capital and parking included. Appreciated being able to choose between a light continental breakfast and not pay lots for food I wasnt going to eat. The only reason for not saying "excellent" was that you really need to be in the know to spot what to do about parking - I was expecting to enter my details at check in but actually there is a separate system for this which isnt obvious to infrequent PI users like me. 

Very clean, comfortable and good value.

The room was tired and grubby, and generally run down. The super-comfy bed nowhere to be seen… the mattress was extremely uncomfortable. Reception staff were friendly, but overall… Very disappointing. 

Terrible sleep

Very dirty hotel .stayed here a few years ago and it is no where near dirty then as it is now .it’s very run down and tatty ,shower doors are black and full of dirt/grime .
Looked liked the carpet have not been hoovered ,one dirty cup in the room with lipstick on .Cardiff east is totally run down and cleaners need to be quiet rather than laughing in the hallway ,please consider people working or resting .I think all these issues need to be addressed with the manager especially as covid is on the rise ,it needs a good wake up call .reception staff nice but that’s all
I can say ,won’t be staying here again.

Never again 

Avoid this hotel I had to stay here as my usual hotel Cardiff north was fully booked every morning from 7.30 I was woken to a constant banging, the cleaners would use the deadbolt on the door to stop it locking,which I will add didn’t happen at Cardiff north, really not good when you’ve just done a night shift, the cleaners have zero respect for anyone who maybe resting 

Inconsiderate cleaners

It’s functional, woodwork is peeling, has a very depressing air to it. I booked a twin room, the night before arrival I received 3 calls telling me the room wasn’t available, with no solution provided. One of us ended up sleeping on the floor for a room we’d paid £200 for. 

Shabby & depressing

This hotel is excellent. On the outskirts of Cardiff it is surrounded by beautiful trees. The staff are friendly and efficient, the rooms small, but adequate. The Beefeater Restaurant next door, is also very good with wonderful staff. All in all, and I stay at hotels for work all the time, this is one of the best.

Good Hotel

The staff were very friendly and the standard of the rooms were as expected  (although a little small ),  but unfortunately, my father and I had to suffer ice cold showers for two days running in both our rooms. which was very unpleasant and not what i would expect from a Premier Inn.  Contacted Customer Services about it  afterwards (and did report it to reception at the time) but after a few days have had no response .

Disappointing

 We have just returned from staying at the Premier Inn Cardiff East, on a trip to see Coldplay, I rang well in advance to request a ground floor disabled room, speaking to Tina she told me she would reserve room 5. Last week I spoke to her again to see if it was possible to have an early check in at 11am, this would cost an extra £10 which was fine, we arrived  a little early but went into the reception, to be greeted by a young smiling receptionist who told us everthing was ready for us so could check in right away. Whilst doing this Tina and collegue Collette came by, both were very friendly and helped us with our luggage. We had a 2 couse lunchtime meal for £10.95 at the Beefeater which was great value was very well cooked and served by a friendly waiter.  The attention we recieved from everyone went to make this a very memorable trip all round and would not hesitate to stay at this Premier Inn again in the future.      

Very enjoyable stay

This was my first visit here and probably my last. The room was not up to normal Premier Inn standards. Very small for a double room, luckily I was on my own. If there had of been 2 people it would have been very cramped. The bathroom was tiny and the shower door would not shut leaving water all over the bathroom floor. The extractor fan would not turn off and kept going all night leading to disturbed sleep. The tv had limited channels and no bbc. Also the room had a bit of an unkept feel and could do with a good clean. Very poor!
