Spent a most enjoyable three nights at this home from home. Harry the chef is a fund of stories and the breakfasts, which are served by Helen, are a magnificent treat which keep you going all day. My wife, who is a huge Runrig fan, revisited the site of their Balloch concert in 1991 which is just along the road from St Blanes. A top of the league establishment which gets top marks.

Stayed for1 night last week

the decor is a bit aging but the place is quiet and well located to enjoy nice walks in the Trossachs.
The breakfast is very good and probably it is enougth to stay a lot of hour with energy !
A pleasant place.


Nice and quiet B&B

The elderly couple were very friendly and prepared a very delicious full Scottish breakfast in the morning, unfortunately the room was a bit old-fashioned and the shower was no pleasure thanks to the undersized through-the-air heat. The room was so clean, the roof windows were decorated with spider webs and dead spiders. For a short stay absolutely ok, for a longer stay rather not.

Super friendly, good breakfast, the rooms are solala.

Myself and my husband stayed at St Blanes for our 5th wedding anniversary weekend. Helen and Harry were very polite and helpful. The room was clean and adequate for our needs and breakfast was lovely.
It was located near all local amenities shops, restaurants and pubs etc.  It is also a short drive to Loch Lomond, Sea Life Centre and Birds of Prey Centre and other places of interest. Would definitely stay again.

Weekend stay!!!!!

Was a nice wee place everything was close ie shops pubs parks good couples and hill walkers only thing we didn't like about the room was when trying to dry you hair there was no sockets near the mirror but apart from was nice and a good breakfast

The lake and the castle are easily accessible on foot. The owners are nice. The B&B is for sale and makes a very old impression. The room was furnished with antique furniture and we didn't like it at all. The roof windows were dirty with moss and spider webs, so it was a little disgusting when you opened them. The sink began to muffle when water left the drain. The door could hardly be closed because of the carpet and the bathroom door was completely unlocked.

Joah... for one night, all right.

The guests are welcoming and prepare a great breakfast. The rooms are decent, two small lounges for rest at the end of the day. It's worth the price! The house is located in the centre of Balloch. It's easy to get to the supermarket and small restaurants in the village.

Good Bed and Breakfast

A large, clean room in the DG. In addition, there is a private guest lounge, very nice. The room is a bit old-fashioned, furnishings 30 to 40 years old, curtains. The shower in the attic room is electric, unfortunately too little temperature and too little pressure. Shower only if possible or under freezing conditions. No heating in the bathroom. But overall, it's still very good. The kindness of the operator makes a lot of difference, which is the comfort factor. I got extra porridge to try on for breakfast. Nothing uncomfortable from the shower and the British sense of design (not present, grins).

Location, amenities, breakfast, surroundings: everything is perfect! It's only a few minutes to the train station (train to Glasgow). There are also various locations and a supermarket nearby. Very friendly hosts who are trying to give good tips for staying. The breakfast is rich, despite a power outage, we managed to enchant an extensive menu. The room was clean and spacious.
