We stayed here for two nights in September and found it very comfortable and especially enjoyed having a separate sitting room in addition to a bedroom. The breakfast arrangements were novel with each room allocated their own table and refrigerated items with common tea, coffee and toast making facilities. We were sufficiently happy with the accommodation to stay there again at the end of our holiday trip to Yorkshire.

Pleasant stay

We have just stayed here for 2 nights b and b for less than £100 and what tremendous value for a wonderful house in such a quiet peaceful location,Barbara and here lovely family greeted us in a very friendly manner showing us all facilities etc.
Do not be put off by Help yourself continental style breafast,it was tremendous,everything you would want, tea,cereal,yoghurt,fresh juice and milk,toast ,etc etc .
Room 1 was fine,clean comfortable,not as spacious as we normally get but still okay for 2 nights.
Can,t see why anyone would want to complain,we would definely consider staying again if in the area.

LOVELY HOUSE IN VERY QUITE LOCATION

We have stayed here several times. This is a wonderful place to stay. Very welcoming and friendly. Our room was spacious even for our large family. 
Our hosts couldn't be more helpful or patient. Good quality for our money and we would definitely recommend this B&b

Everything we wanted & needed. So welcoming!

I visited here for 2 nights as was going to a wedding. The hosts were lovely and kept checking if we needed anything. (Thank you for helping when I was locked out of my car!)

The room was a great size, as was the bath. Was gutted I didn't have time for a lovely bath. The beds were very comfy. We could have breakfast at whatever time it suited, there was bread, cereal, pain au chocolate, yoghurts and fruit so plenty to eat. The area was so quiet, helped by the fact that the rooms aren't next to each other. Never been in such a quite room. Will stay again!

Beautiful house

Stayed in this hotel with my parents and the owner was polite and showed us were the kitchen and were breakfast was served.  The bedroom was nice and clean and so was the bathroom as well. The only thing that let the review and visit down was that shower was small and it will be no good if someone had a fear claustrophobia . The breakfast was good since you can help yourself the only down side of it was that they was no milk alternatives such as soya , oat and coconut milk if someone had a allergy to normal milk and also should had some gluten free bread in case could not have gluten.  They should of had a lift for some or group floor bed rooms for someone who has a wheelchair . 

My overall views on the visit was that it was it was quiet and you can't hear the cars go past as well as children running up and down the corridor. It is a nice hotel that very quiet. 

Nice and quiet hotel 

Very limited bar. No straight beers. No corkscrew to open the wine. Beer handed over on can with no glass. Decor needs a lot of attention. Bar staff pleasant. Pity it hasn’t been taken forward as a lot of wasted potential here. 

Party in function room

If you are looking for a 5 star hotel, expect to pay two to three hundred per night and do not stay here. If you are looking for good pub B&B accommodation, at a very reasonable price, you should stay here. We stayed one night and experienced very hospitable hosts and before departure we had a breakfast that I struggled to eat, due to the amount of items that were included and I had to admit to not being able to eat all of it. Something I do not regularly do. I would definitely stay here again and would not hesitate to advise others to stay here also

Thanks guys we had a lovely stay very welcoming great room very clean and comfortable and entertainment was fantastic good breakfast with cereals fresh orange and full English we will be returning soon

Let’s start with the good. 
The location is beautiful. 

If you like polyester and the 1970’s it’s for you. 
If you want an inn that has no food this is your place.
If you like being geated by a man in a flat cloth cap that isn’t removed. This will suit you. 
Faded towels. 
Retro patterned carpets. 
Woodchip ceilings. 
I skipped breakfast I just had to go. 
Spend an extra £10 and stay somewhere else.

Good/Bad

Lovely friendly people, very accommodating. Very quiet location well off the main road, room was clean, spacious and comfy, nice breakfast great value. I would definitely stay here again. (Nothing to do with the Hotel but if you get a Taxi get the price in advance as they can be very expensive)
