We stopped for 1 night as a family of 4. The small camp bed was extremely uncomfortable for my teenage son, very lumpy. The room had no air conditioning, & was 25 degrees at 3am, the window opened 4inch.

Tidy room but so hot

Staff all seemed friendly and genuinely pleased to help - the lady on check-in even helped us find scissors and sellotape for gift wrapping, and David in the morning was very approachable and checked we had a good stay.

Our room was clean and well aired, furniture and fittings well maintained. Windows good at keeping outside noise to a minimum. Entry hall has extra complementary tea and coffee sachets which was appreciated. We found this to be a particularly good example of a Premier Inn.

Warm welcome

A very tired room that was in desperate need of decorating and remodelling. 
The floorboards creaking both in our room and the room above kept us awake. The room was too hot, no Aircon and if you opened the window, the noise made it impossible to sleep.

Travel a few extra miles and stay at a Travel Lodge 

Certainly not Premier

I stayed for one night as it is in a brilliant location for visiting and supporting family. I was welcomed by Jenny in reception, and as I had arrived early, I took advantage of paying £10 for early check-in. Jenny found me a room, and I was able to settle in before going out on my visits.
On my return I had a lovely meal in the restaurant which was excellent value.
I would definitely stay again.

The only thing that let the two night stay down was the breakfast in the Brampton Hut, which on both days was lack luster and definitely not Premier when compared to my other stays at Premier Inns!

Ok Stay 

tired hotel with windows that only open 3” so on hottest day of the year room was super hot like a sauna all night .. sweated and unable to sleep hardly knew there was no aircon but NO ventilation other than a fan that   blew the hot sir around the room worst hotel experience ever because of that .. shower bed and staff excellent but tawdry dated location on services site with no signs to locate hotel and postcode that is somewhere nearby .terrible experience and nothing like the adverts make out .. won’t be returning will be sticking to travel lodge as st least expectations will be met

Comfortable affordable and clean .no air-con but staff super helpful and gave us a fan to try help but being on top floor in hight of summer it was still too warm .shower  /bath good temperature and easy to use basic needs we're met

Temperature of 29c for most of the night in the room. Hotel acts as a huge heat sink during hot weather and there is no air conditioning or ventilation. The inside of the hotel is hotter than outside with the bricks being warmed by the sun and remains hot for days on end.

 Best service ever at Premier Inn from before arrival date until we left.   Special mention must go to Ben Gibbs who was so welcoming and helpful to us.  He was consistently the most welcoming and helpful person I’ve seen in hospitality.   

Excellent service

The staff I met were very helpful and courteous but there was a distinct lack of staff at breakfast, causing some of us to have considerable delays, and this was at around 0800hours, after the rush.
In addition, a considerable number of the seats in the dining area were filthy, with stains from who knows when.
This was not a particularly cheap stay, either - very disappointing.
