Everything was perfect. The situation which offered a fantastic view of the bay from the lounge dining room. Very friendly and welcoming hosts who looked after us so well. The food was excellent and the rooms were such quality and style as is the whole house. We would definitely recommend staying here. It was an absolute pleasure.

Absolute quality

My girlfriend and I had an amazing stay at Broad Bay House. Tom and Sue went out of their way making our stay perfect, helping us with our bags, suggesting things to do and ensuring we were comfortable. The breakfast was amazing and set us up for a full day out. We would 100% recommend staying here.

Staying at Broad Bay House

A superlative stay. We had high expectations after looking at your site and reading the reviews - and you exceeded them on the quality of the food and cooking (do book the dinner!), the beautiful design and contemporary art, and the location. Stunning location; welll-appointed guest lounge with views over the bay, and we enjoyed walking down the few yards to the beach, even paddling in the blustery waves. But best of all, Tom and Sue are fabulous hosts; nothing was too much trouble, and they clearly want all their guests to enjoy Lewis and Harris, and the house, as much as they do. Top notch in every way.

Superlative stay with impressive attention to detail

Fantastic location, situated near Stornoway, easy to reach.
The owners are very kind and they prepare delicious breakfast and excellent dinners.
The house is by the sea,and the view is beauitful and relaxing.
The room is really cozy and very well provided.

Beautiful place to stay with gracious and helpful hosts. Tom and Sue have a lovely location and look after every detail to make it a memorable and relaxing stay to Lewis. Highlights....service, food, views and warm fires.

Ideal location for a stay on Lewis

We had a fabulous stay at Broad Bay!  Tom and Sue were great host, they sent helpful information about the island, restaurants and tours. The food was amazing.  We will definitely be staying there again.

Great stay!

I cannot say enough good things about the B&B. This was easily one of our favorite accommodations over 3 weeks all across the UK. The room (Room 4) was very well appointed (everything you'd expect plus extras like wireless phone charging bases) and I appreciated multiple in-room coffee options. Having access to laundry facilities in the house (w/ only a small 5-pound charge) was also appreciated. But the real highlight was the food! We arranged for a seafood sharing platter on the Sunday we arrived and it was absolutely fantastic. Breakfast was also delicious every morning, especially the specialty porridge (I recommend the fruit compote ones) and beet juice. I can't thank Sue and Tom enough for their hospitality. 

Wonderful and Delicious

Broad Bay House is very comfortable indeed and a great deal of attention has been given to so many details which enhance the pleasure of a stay.  The meals were carefully prepared with fresh local produce and the location of the house adjacent to the beach is wonderful.  Sue and Tom were very welcoming and we were particularly grateful that our dogs were afforded the same friendly welcome into such a lovely house.

Luxury in a lovely, friendly house.

Tom and Sue were perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble to ensure we had a nice stay. The room was really comfortable, coffee/tea making in the room as well as a fridge with fresh milk! Lovely bathroom. Beautiful dining room/lounge and the food was excellent. Great choice of wine and gin! Delicious range of breakfasts, all cooked seconds fresh to order, even a separate porridge menu! Would highly recommend this lovely 5* B&B! 

A little gem of a LewisB&B!

Our 2 night stay a Broad Bay House was absolutely too short. We stayed in a few B&Bs and Guest Houses on our trip to Scotland. This one is more like a very small boutique hotel than a house that has been retrofitted as a B&B.  It's really delightful. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The hallways are wide and easy to navigate. We didn't have a view of the ocean, but it was nice that our room had a little porch and glass door.  The views from the shared space are to die for. We were lucky enough to see some sea lions on a sand spit using the telescope in the living area. My husband and I walked along the beach and picked up shells one night after dinner.  Tom and Sue were wonderful. We had a flat tire on the day we arrived and arrived late. Tom was understanding and was still there to greet us. Sue's cooking is a highlight.  Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We also enjoyed the seafood platter one night and it was one of the best meals we had in Scotland.  I can't wait to visit again.
