Isle of Skye

Look no further for the best place to stay on the Isle of Skye. The accommodation is beautiful, everything is immaculate, plenty of space for a couple and all the amenities you need. The view is incredible and the location is ideal for peace and quiet but also only a short distance to visit local towns for exploring and dining out. Viv and Steve are the most wonderful hosts - the breakfasts and cakes are beyond delicious and their hospitality and friendly nature really added to our stay. I would recommend here to anyone and only wish we had stayed longer.

This place is just magical. The view is incredible. The room is beautifully decorated and cosy, and the bed is super-comfortable. The breakfasts are extraordinary. Thank you to our hosts for their warm welcome and invaluable advice on discovering the island. Sad that we only stayed 2 nights. A wonderful time.

A wonderful time

Wow! I would give this stay 10 stars if I could. The room, the views, the little touches - absolutely everything about this place is special. Viv & Steve are amazing hosts, who go above and beyond in making you feel welcomed. You can really tell they love hosting and meeting new people. Viv spoiled me to death with gluten free goodies day and night. I was so sad the day we had to leave. We definitely hope to be back again some day! 

Bothy Review 

Our stay at Abhaig bouquet lodge was 1st class. Such a beautiful snug bubble of peacefulness. The cabin was of a high standard and such attention to detail everywhere you looked. 
Breakfast was absolutely delicious and set you for the day. 
The hosts Viv and Stevie were exceptional. Born for the roll of being hosts. We would highly recommend the lodge to anyone staying in Uig.

The views of isles of Skye

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights at the wonderful Abhaig B and B a few weeks ago and the pictures really don't do it justice.  We stayed in the garage....I mean, the converted garage which was magnificantly redone and decorated.  Large shower with rainhead,  heated floors and towel rack, and nice products for washing.  A supercomforable bed with views of the peninsula and sunsets.  There is a Marshall "amp" bluetooth speaker to play your music thru, coffee/tea, and of course, little treats left by Viv.  Honestly, the place was made more special by the friendliness, kindness, and true interest about our day by the owners, Viv and Steve.  They seemed to have 10 different things going on but always found the time to chat and offer advice. The morning breakfasts prepared by Viv were delicious and filling.  I'm sure Steve helped somewhere in the kitchen so kudos for the toast :)   We couldn't wait to get back each night and watch the sunset from our window or even outdoors. You can walk out near the edge of the cliffs ( there is a fence) and take some excellent photos.  The B and B is located in Uig which is kind of near the center of Skye so made is easy to go east or west.  Of note, if you want to make a reservation at the nearby and superb restaurant, The Ferry Inn, do so well in advance on their website.  There is only 4 or 5 tables.  We often don't travel or stay at the same place twice but I would stay at Viv and Steve's place again without hesitation.  And who knew that Viv was a "Jersey Girl!"  Cheers!

Fantastic B and B on the Isle of Skye

I loved everything about this stay on the Trotternish Peninsula in Northern Skye. Hosts Viv and Steve are delightfully warm, light-hearted people, with a natural knack for hospitality. I stayed in the roomy, comfortable bedroom inside the main house, which has it's own large, modern bathroom downstairs. Breakfast is also served downstairs, in a welcoming space with books, games, television, coffee and tea- and homemade cake! Viv's homemade breakfasts (ordered the night before) are delicious and filling enough to last all day. In a nut shell, the location on Skye is perfect, the hosts are the best people ever, the place smells divine, the food is great- my only advice to you- book this place and STAY LONGER! 

It was like visiting my old friends who happen to live on Skye- I miss the Abhaid B&B!

Ive been to a lot of Bed and Breakfasts in my life and let me say, none will stand out in my memory more than Abhaig. FANTASTIC accommodation, friendliest people youll ever meet and restaurant quality food. If there was an option for 10 stars, Id give it that. Be sure to check them out!

An absolute must see

Absolutely delightful

As others have said, when you leave you feel like family. Viv and Steve are the absolute best hosts we had on our trip to Scotland. They are precious souls that care for each one of their guests like a friend.  Viv's breakfasts and baking were so delicious.  Each morning she helped us decide what we were going to do for the day.  Each night, there was something delicious she had baked sitting outside our door. I love that they also have a business pet sitting. We enjoyed getting to visit with their four legged guests since we were missing our pets.  
We stayed in the Bothy and it was beautiful. The room is so well appointed, stylish and cozy.  The view is stunning especially at sunset (which didn't happen until 10:30-11:00 at night in May).   The location is perfect for exploring and is close enough to Portree to head into dinner each night.  I would highly recommend walking just across the the street to the Galley Cafe for dinner too.  

Absolutely the best!

My husband and I stayed at Abhaig for our Honeymoon. Viv and Steve were the absolute best hosts and every snack or meal they made for us was absolutely fantastic. Not only that, when we arrived to our stay, they had gone above and beyond and had decorated our room for our honeymoon and made us a special cake. The room is SO cute with so many details and some of our favorite parts of the trip were when we were able to just sit in the parlor with our breakfast and plan out our day - we are already counting down the days til we can make it out to Skye once more for this incredible place with it's impeccable views. Honestly, Steve and Viv feel like friends that we can't wait to revisit!
