We stayed in one of the cabins here as we were doing the West Highland Way. It had been raining all day and all of the clothing we had on was soaking wet so we hung it up in the drying room. There was no light, only low heat in the room and limited hanging space. In the morning, our clothing and boots were still wet. 
We hired linen and they had ran out of sleeping bag liners. My husband found an old cloth inside his sleeping bag. 
There are no chairs in the cabins, only the bunk beds which meant sitting down and relaxing was not really an option. 
The nearest toilets and showers are in a different area which meant a bit of a walk in the rain and through large puddles. 
On the positive side, staff were helpful and the dinner and breakfast we had were tasty enough. Views great too. 
We were disappointed we had chosen to stay here as our other accomodation was all great and prepared for the highland weather.

Soggy and disappointing

This campsite is not appropriate for camping. The ‘kitchen and laundry’ facilities were filthy with a mop sat in dirty water, rancid smell and mugs submerged in dirty water in the sink. The showers and toilets were also dirty. The campsite had very little space for pitching and it is clear that there is an ongoing problem with putting pegs into the group as no tent had pegs inserted more than two inches. This lead to our tent actually collapsing onto us during the night and us leaving at 5am. The ground was also extremely waterlogged. Needless to say I don’t think the night we stayed was the first time Kinlochleven has experienced rain! I think this company are aware that their camping facilities are subpar. I would rather wild camp than stay at this facility. I don’t recommend at all, especially for £20!

Do not camp here!

I had originally planned to camp at the hotel while my son walked the West Highland Way with his friend. Unfortunately, they required MR assistance while on the walk. 
The hotel staff were superb. Knowing that they would be cold and wet, they provided rooms in the hotel and ensured hot food was available (even though the restaurant was closed for night). They could not have done more for us. 
Will definitely be back

True Highland Hospitality

Had a fantastic two night stay. A warm welcome awaiting us as we checked in. The views were absolutely stunning. We enjoyed a glass of their very own Gin even taking a bottle home as a gift. There was a very entertaining atmosphere in the bar area. Our dinner was delicious and of course the spectacular scenery made this all the better.
 Our room was spacious warm and cosy with plenty of hot running water.our breakfast was delightful a full Scottish.I am extremely dubious about the bad reviews on this site as this was certainly not our experience. We will be back thank you to the exponential staff who made our stay perfect I'd rate this ten out of ten.

Fantastic stay

Was given a 2 night stay in this hotel as a Christmas gift from our daughter, it’s situated in a lovely location and the views are stunning. We found the rooms warm and comfortable, the food and drinks of a good standard and the staff friendly and welcoming. It was super dog friendly and our dog was treated like a king with treats and a water bowl laid out in our room and at our dinner table for him. Thank you for a lovely winter stay

Shown to a room with an overwhelming smell of damp, no curtains and a window frame that was visibly rotten. Warm welcome from staff but no way guests should be offered that room. Refund agreed but since not forthcoming. Stay elsewhere!

Uninhabitable room.

We were here in August 2023.It is a campsite that also has 10 hotel rooms.We were in one of them.The rooms are renovated, but they have some defects, when the roommate goes to the bathroom, it sounds as if he is in your room.The same happens when someone passes through the hallway, as the door and the walls are super fine.Good attention, even if you are a little saturated with the bar.

Camping room

Really comfortable room, clean and modern, but the place was let down by supply issues - everything seemed to have run out and several people were turned away at dinner and breakfast which is a shame in a remote location. It seemed a bit chaotic but the staff were trying their best.

Good hotel but seems to have staff shortages

The hotel is well situated on the West Highland Way. The room is very comfortable and refurbished unlike the common areas (reception, corridors). The meal was quite right. The downsides: breakfast paid the day before and unregistered hence the suspicious attitude of the staff before proving the payment yourself. No paper in the toilet of the reception in the morning after claiming the day before!

Nice room but not enough service

Pod was cold. Mattress was the worse I've ever slept on. I hired a sleeping bag - it was awful, not fit in for purpose. It was July. I hope you don't use the same ones in other seasons. Pod needed a good sweep or hoover. One little milk pot for two people for an overnight stay. Blinds broken and also when closed didn't stop light from other pods automatic light from seeping through into cabin. Toilets were disgusting, no toilet roll and not enough of them. Campers kitchen was an disgrace. Absolutely filthy. View from bar great. But apart from that awful place.
