As always the atmosphere and staff were amazing. Food was great . Our bathroom light switch broke on New Year’s Day but it was fixed straight away . 
We have stayed several times and it’s a good location for Cheltenham races 

Good stay 

Yet again another wonderful lunch in the bar/restaurant, service perfect, drinks just as good, the Christmas special real ale was amazing and as always the food was second to none, the signature meal just gets better and better, one day I might try another main course, my wife has regularly had different courses and are always great, THANKS YET AGAIN and merry Christmas to all the management and staff

We stayed here for two nights room was a ok size but only had one roof window and a very small low placed window looking at a wall but it is a old building front rooms with a view are probably better staff were friendly the weather was good and we enjoyed sitting by the river with a drink and the village was lovely

Pleasant stay

New Inn is a very old characterful pub and hotel. It’s perfectly situated if you are attending a wedding in the church! We had a front room on the 3rd floor with nice views over the square. The toilet, being a “ macerator” ( not sure if that’s the right word!!) was rather noisy and shower made similar noise but the room was a decent size. We were able to eat  in dining room despite not booking in ahead, and it’s a lovely room with huge curved window. Meal choice was good. You are better off to book in for breakfast… £13 with a nice choice of food. Plenty of parking through the arch; very friendly staff. As long as you remember; it’s a very old place so it won’t be perfect, you’ll love it!

Quirky old Inn in beautiful Lechlade.

I stayed at this hotel in the pretty town of Lechlade, which was on my walking route along the Thames Path to the source. I had been walking for about 6 hours, and arrived just before 4.00pm, which is the earliest time I could check in. The staff were very welcoming, and I was shown to Room 4, up the stairs and through to the end of a corridor, where there seemed to be a place where you could sit and read any one of the books that was there.

Some might say the room was a bit dated, but it suited me perfectly. The only problem was that the radiators didn't seem to be working, and I couldn't close the window properly, so I was unable to dry my damp clothes. 

However, that didn't deter me, and I had a wonderful night, and a fantastic meal in the restaurant. Even better, when I went down in the morning for breakfast, I noticed a couple eating in a separate room as they had a dog, so I asked if I could eat in there also, as it seemed a lot quieter, and the staff were very accommodating of my request.

I had a lovely breakfast, and when I finished my tea, I was offered another pot, which I gratefully accepted. If I am ever in the area again, I will certainly come back, even if only to have a meal.

A lovely location in a pretty town

We stayed at the hotel for a total of nine days and we felt very comfortable. The location for exploring the Cotswolds is excellent. Our room was in the main house and was comfortable and clean. We didn't lack anything. The food at the hotel was very good. The breakfast was very good. There were a variety of options. Not only was there full English, but there were many other options. Actually, we had only booked overnight and breakfast, because the dinner was so fantastic and incredibly delicious, we ate at the hotel every night. The price performance is simply excellent. The whole staff is very friendly and helpful.

We had a family party at the end of January, we all had a great time. the food was lovely, very fairly priced and served quickly.
We stayed the night, so we could have a drink. And found the room clean and comfortable.
The breakfast was just what we needed, good choice and lovely staff.
Would definitely stay again

Superb Sunday Roast!!
Roast Beef and Roast Lamb was absolutely delicious! Couple of pints and rugby on the screen in the bar area…..what more could you need! Staff friendly and helpful……
Definitely recommend getting yourself booked in!!

Superb Sunday Roast!!

Staff are very friendly and efficient.  Easy check in process with parking on site.  Room was ok, bed was quite hard and the pillows were very lumpy.  Room was cold but an additional fan heater was provided.  Small 2nd window did not have any curtains meaning we had to use a coat to cover it.  One tea bag provided though I am sure we could have asked for more.  TV turned on in the middle of the night which we had to unplug from the wall to turn off.  View from the window to the river was lovely.  Breakfast was very good and gluten free options were provided upon request.  

Very friendly staff and lovely location.

This was the second time we stayed at the New Inn.  We had a nice room and the bed was very comfortable.  The evening meal of smoked bacon wrapped chicken was delicious. Breakfast was lovely also. All the staff were very friendly and we left having made new friends Would certainly stay again.
