Our first time staying in a guest house.
Wow what a way to start the experience.
David and Louise are the kindest of hosts from the arrival and offering of tea/coffee and cake which really broke the ice. To entering our luxury room. 
The whole room and house are sparkling.
Breakfast is to die for, with a great choice.
David was very helpful with his knowledge of walks and drives.
Dexter is also the most well behaved owners dog you could wish for and knows where he is not to go.
Couldn’t not buy some of the homemade Marmalade.
We look forward to returning later in the year.

The Old Town Hall cannot be faulted in any way. A visit starts with a friendly and warm greeting by the host, either Louise or David or both. Their intention is for you to enjoy your stay. 
The interior is spotlessly clean throughout and the three rooms are well set out with comfortable beds. 
There’s a really nice and varied choice for breakfast beautifully cooked and presented. The choice is yours. 
We have stayed there several times and will be revisiting soon.  This B & B is well worth the 5 star rating. 
Redmire is a small village with a local pub brought back to life by the local people. It’s also in an ideal position for local places to visit, Grassington, Hawes, Leyburn, Richmond and many others are within easy travelling distance.

A fantastic visit yet again.

Now I’m not a lover of B&B’s but if every one I ever stayed in was like this I would never use a hotel again. We have just returned from a 3 night stay and we honestly didn’t want to leave. We stayed in the suite room and it was luxury. Plenty of room, a superking bed and a separate lounge with tea and coffee facilities in good supply. The bathroom was equipped with a spa bath and an Aqualisa remote shower which was fantastic. There were also fluffy towels and robes for us. The breakfast “The Louise special” is the best breakfast we’ve had away from home with a fresh loaf of home made bread always available. The hosts David and Louise are clearly very passionate about what they do and it shows in the service they provide. They are both extremely knowledgeable of the surrounding areas and have vast recommendations on things to do and see. All in all a fantastic B&B with the feel of a luxury hotel. Will definitely return and can’t recommend highly enough.

Pure luxury

We have just returned from a stay at this wonderful B&B which is a true gem tucked away in pretty and peaceful Redmire, Wensleydale.  Our hosts were warm and welcoming and went the extra mile every day to ensure we had a relaxing and peaceful stay and everything we needed.  All fare at breakfast was locally sourced and we were offered an excellent breakfast menu to choose from. Breakfasts were delicious and substantial.  The room we were allocated was absolutely beautiful with a huge bed and sofa.  The only slight downside was that we could hear the TV from the room next to ours but other than that I couldn't fault this beautiful place. Redmire is close to Bolton Castle, which makes for an interesting trip out.  We did a walk up there through the meadows which offered beautiful views of the dale and took around 30 minutes.  We are planning to return to The Old Town Hall next year and can't recommend it highly enough.  

A Real Gem

Returned for another two night stay. Excellent accommodation and delicious breakfasts made with the highest quality ingredients. David and Louise are super hosts who do everything to help you have a 
wonderful stay. Would totally recommend anyone to stay here.

Excellent stay - thoroughly recommend

Our two night stay at The Old Town Hall was fabulous!  Louise and David are the perfect hosts and our room was comfortable, well-appointed, with no detail spared.  Breakfast each morning was delicious and we really appreciated the extra care taken to help us plan our days.  Be sure to try the homemade bread and jam (and take a few jars home!) when you go.  We’ll definitely be back! 

Yorkshire Gem in Redmire

We stopped off for 2 days at this
 B & B on the way home from
a holiday in Scotland & we’re so glad we did. 
It’s located in the pretty village of Redmire in the Yorkshire Dales. 
We were warmly welcomed by Louise who made us tea & some of her home made banana cake - delicious ! 
Our room was very cosy & beautifully decorated. 
A lovely comfy king sized bed & luxury bed linen ensured a good sleep. 
A small fridge in our room was stocked with fresh milk, bottled water, lemongrass & ginger cordial, blackcurrant cordial & chocolate bars - very nice ! 
The hospitality tray had bone China mugs, Yorkshire teabags ( naturally ) instant coffee & also coffee bags, Earl grey tea, green tea & peppermint tea plus hot chocolate. 
Louise’s home made shortbread biscuits were lovely.  
There was a wall mounted TV, sofa & cushions to relax on, 
The dressing table, wardrobe, chest of drawers & bedside tables were Laura Ashley. 
In the bathroom there were luxury Temple Spa toiletries - which smelled gorgeous & the towels were the softest & fluffiest ever ! 
Breakfast was absolutely delicious with locally sourced bacon, sausages, eggs, tomatoes & mushrooms, homemade bread, jams & marmalade, there was also black pudding & baked beans. 
Cereals, porridge & really lovely homemade fruit salad of grapes, strawberries, blueberries, melon & mango. 
Louise & her husband David are the most welcoming, warm & kind friendly people, so helpful & full of local knowledge. 
There are lots books & DVDs for guests to enjoy.

Fab stay at The Old Town Hall B & B

Just returned from a two night stay at the old town hall on a stopover on our way back from Scotland.
 Wow what can I say Redmire is a beautiful quiet village, the old town hall is gorgeous, beautifully decorated spotlessly clean and fabulous tasty breakfasts, 
Louise is a Lovely Lady most friendly and welcoming she even did us a detailed map for us to visit places of interest in the area as we had not visited the area before.
We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anyone who likes a clean quiet comfortable stay in a beautiful area.
 Thank you Louise and Thank you Louise 2 for a lovely stay we will return.

Beautiful accommodation in the stunning Yorkshire Dales

Louise and David are so very friendly and helpful.
They work so hard and nothing is too much trouble.
We hear so many reports that are excellent.
The cheese board we bought from David who made it himself is lovely quality and a nice shape and size.
We give their 3 fruit marmalade to all our family and friends.
It's the best.

The best b and b ever.

We stayed in the Wharfedale room for 5 nights.  The room is the smallest one of all three rooms.  In the bathroom the ceiling in the shower is low and slanted. The room is really nice and quiet. There is a skylight that can open, but no other windows. You can select from a breakfast menu  and there is a nice selection offered.  David and Louise are great hosts.  David offered us some maps of the area and gave us great advice on nearby things to do and see. We walked to Bolton castle (easy walk), we drove towards Reeth and Hawes which is a spectacular ride. There are also a lot of abbeys to visit. There is a nice pub in the village, the Bolton arms, which is within walking distance from the B&B and David was kind enough to make reservations for us.  It is an ideal location to explore the Dales. Redmire is a very pretty little village.
