A very comfortable stay. Rooms and facilities are extremely clean and comfortable. Very well set up communal lounge and kitchen. Bedrooms are clean, very comfortable and have a generous bathroom. Fantastic hosts. Would not hesitate to return.

A great place to stay

We were looking for accommodation in the Lochaber area as a base for a kayaking weekend, and Corran bunkhouse fit the bill perfectly. Everything is good quality, and the rooms are clean and functional - ours had a nice ensuite too. There is a large common room with comfy seating and a log burner which was a nice place to relax, but we usually ended up sitting in the communal dining kitchen. The kitchen had everything you could need to make from snacks to big meals, and there was plenty of food storage  and fridge space. Plenty of space to sit and eat too. A really big plus was the two drying rooms, one  off the kitchen which had a dehumidifier, and another outside, which allowed lots of wet gear to be dried quickly - a real bonus if you're there for a few days. The owner Alan couldn't be more helpful, and gave us tips on the best places to eat wherever we were going.  I can thoroughly recommend getting the ferry over to Ardgour to the pub for food. A minute from the bunkhouse, its free for foot passengers, the crossing takes about 5 minutes, and is a nice way to go to dinner. Overall i cant recommend the place highly enough. A modern, clean and enjoyable place to spend a night or two.

Excellent quality bunkhouse

We stayed in room 2. very clean and comfortable. Twin beds,ensuite small bathroom but shower was quite roomy and excellent water pressure.  Lovely toiletries and towels. we did not utilize the lounge but it appeared very nice and accommodating.  we made coffee and light breakfast  in dining area which is well equipped. The dining  room had bins for your personal food items which where labeled with your room number.  Toaster, hot water for tea, instant or press coffee( there were two presses for use). Also fridge for cold storage and labels provided to identify your food. We also noticed an additional fridge where folks left  some stables for others to use if desired. We left a jar of peanut  butter and jam and some press coffee as we were heading home by air the following day.  You can also label these items so others know they are for sharing. We are just about 70 years old and found this place to be welcoming, safe and wonderful. Would stay again without hesitation.  Most of all the midge screens were awesome and the only accommodation over the 9 days we were in various parts of Scotland  that had them. They allows you  to get some fresh air in room without getting bit up.

What a great place, very comfortable, immaculately clean. 
In a fabulous location, right next to the Corran Ferry. 
Great for a short hop across the narrows - well it would be if the Scottish Government 
ever managed to maintain the CalMac fleet and get a reliable boat there! 

The bunkhouse is So Much More than that.  It is like a very high quality Bed & Breakfast 
(Without the breakfast - unless you make it yourself as it has a fully equipped kitchen area)

We stayed for a night on the Isle of Skye.It is a lovely seaside resort.Everything super clean and a perfect reception by the owner.Just on the pier you can catch a boat that crosses over to the other side.To put a stick, the rooms are small.The rest is fine.

Stopped here as part of a Large Outdoors group heading up Ben Nevis on 12/08. What a perfect base for a momentous event. Wonderful location, comfy rooms, welcoming staff. One tip: walk onto the ferry for free and on the other side have a tipple in the Argdour pub whilst looking at the sea and mountain range.

Superb!

If the setting is idyllic the hotel is disappointing Room 1 with two twin beds, hyper noisy, not soundproofed, I could count the steps of the people in the room above, briefly one short night because they got up at 5:30.

Disappointing

We stayed for 3 nights as a group of 13 people, our room was for 4 including an infant. 
The room was fantastic with en suite, clean and comfortable. They provided a cot and a highchair for us. 
The facilities were brilliant with a fully equipped kitchen, free tea and coffee, comfortable lounge with games and a steam room.
The staff were very accommodating greeting us with a warm welcome. We would definitely come back!

Great place

The Bunkhouse is simplistic straightforward accommodation- it’s not bad, but not special, but to be fair you get what you pay for. Clean, simple rooms, but if you want any privacy to eat or sit in the evening forget it. 

Kitchens and eating areas are shared amongst all rooms, shared living room etc, sometime for yourselves the smallish bedrooms.

The mattress on the bed is old…it’s not funny to lie down and feel the springs come through….

Other than that,  nothing to get excited or upset about,,  ,

Straightforward and simple self catering accommodation. Bad bed mattress….

Fantastic, friendly service.  I booked a double room for 1 night while on a hillwalking trip with my dog. Room was very reasonably priced and well appointed.  En-suite was large with a great shower.  The other facilities in the bunkhouse were excellent with 2 separate kitchen areas and a dog friendly lounge to relax in.  The staff were great and even helped me book somewhere for dinner at short notice. I highly recommend the Corran Bunkhouse.
