I definitely picked a winner when I booked a five-night stay at Troy Hall. It was a lovely home and easy to find. My room was spacious and bright. The hosts were welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious. It was a lovely walk into town. It was a convenient location for driving over to Donegal, Giants Causeway, and so many other sights of interest. I was very thankful that they let me extend my stay (making it six nights total) when the airline changed my flight by a day. I would definitely make Troy Hall my first choice in accommodation if I find myself in Londonderry again.

The typical and consistent Irish breakfast served close to the chimenee is something we will remember for long. The room is wide and clean with a very comfortable bed.We where three in a family room and 2nd bed was very comfortable.

Two days

Stayed here for two nights during my visit to Derry. I would HIGHLY recommend it. The rooms are clean, spacious, and beautiful. The hosts were extremely hospitable from the minute we parked.  The full Irish breakfast is amazing. The location is a good base for exploring the area, as downtown is a short walk away. Great experience overall.

This is a really good place to stay. Clean and friendly and close to city centre and shops.the owners are nice and do what they can to accommodate your personal needs. Good value always. Would definitely go again.

Great!

Troy Hall is a gorgeous building and the people who run it are great.  I had a lovely welcome on arrive with a great check in and was taken up to my room which was lovely.  It was a great size and had everything that I needed - a big comfy bed being the main thing!  The house itself was beautiful architecturally, and inside the rooms were really big - as well as my room there was the lounge/dining/breakfast area which was gorgeous and would have been fun to relax and play some board games in if I would have had anyone with me!
The house was just outside the centre, about a 25 minute walk, but it was nicely nestled in off the main road and so was quiet.  There's a walk that you can do to get to the centre which goes along the river, but I didn't try it as it was late at night and wasn't very well lit up but I think that it would definitely be worth doing during the day.
Only one wee thing wrong with my stay - the shower could have done with a good clean as it was a bit black around some of the tiles and corners, but apart from that it was a great stay and I would stay there again.

A great stay at a lovely B&B

My husband, two 18-yr old young ladies, and I stayed for 2 nights at Troy Hall B&B. I reserved the Belmont Suite with a king and two twin beds.  It was a large, lovely room, but be aware that you do have to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs.  I especially like that the twin beds were off to the side behind a partial wall, which allowed for a little more privacy.  I REALLY liked that the bed had a separate sheet and a lighter blanket with a comforter instead of just a comforter enclosed by a "sheet," which gets too hot and leaves you with nothing to put over you when you throw the comforter off. The suite also had a nice sitting area overlooking the lawns, a flat screen TV, and full length mirror.

I liked the bathroom.  It had a shelf in the shower for personal items and a shelf above the sink for toiletries.  This was also the only placed we stayed that had a towel warmer in the bathroom and a full compliment of amenities (shower cap, shampoo, conditioner, tissues, bathrobes, and slippers).  The only negative was the water pressure.  Half way through my shower, the water pressure dipped by half and the hot water was only warm on its hottest setting.  Only my husband took a short 10-min shower before me.  So, I don't know if it was because other guests were showering at the same time or if that's normal.

The breakfast was delicious.  They even got me raisins for my Irish oatmeal, which is not standard in Ireland, and scones for our second breakfast when I mentioned how much I liked them.

We took a leisurely 20-min stroll down the river walk to get into the walled city of Derry.  We had to cross a major thoroughfare to access the river walk, but we enjoyed walking along the river with other pedestrians.  It's a very nice walk.

Beautiful Family Suite!

It's an absolutely beautiful place. An exterior and interior worthy of a castle. The suites are very large, luxurious, and really very comfortable. The living room is beautiful, you feel very comfortable in it right away. We were very warmly welcomed by the guests, concerned about our well-being. It's a pity that I only stayed there one night, I would have enjoyed having a longer stay instead of the pleasant one! Absolutely something to do if you go to Derry and you want to be calm (close to the center but focused enough to avoid the noise of cars)

We stayed for one night in this great B&B. The rooms are fantastic and beautiful. Anytime again. Highly recommended. The breakfast was Irish. The breakfast room was also beautiful. We would have liked to have stayed another night.

Holidays

We loved our stay at Troy Hall.  The owners were very friendly and accommodating and were able to offer suggestions on food and wine nearby.  The property had all the charm of a bed & breakfast you desire.  The wine & spirits store is walking distance and there are several options for dinner nearby.  We spent the evening sipping wine and enjoying carry out in the cozy common area with a nice fire.  We all felt right at home.  The beds were comfortable and the rooms were charming.  Breakfast in the morning was great. If you are not a meat eater, get the American breakfast as the the Irish breakfast is heavy on meat.  Overall a wonderful experience!

The bathrooms are small, the breakfast was fine, the rooms are large and well equipped, the hosts are very kind and open-minded, help with all the issues and problems that arise, and the city is a 30-minute walk away.
