I came across The Manor House when looking for a place to stay when visiting a friend in Quorn, after a day at Alton Towers with my 10yr old. 

The only room still available was The Hayloft, which I booked for 2 nights. All I can say is WOW, with an entrance area for our coats, a separate area with wardrobe and drink making facilities, including a coffee machine, you then walked into the bedroom, the huge queen size bed gave the best nights sleep and the character of this large room is pure luxury. As for the bathroom, well, with its roll topped bath sitting beneath a skylight to relax looking at the stars and a huge separate shower, even my 10yr old was easy to persuade to bath lol.

Where the room is concerned, everything says quality and comfort, the only addition I could suggest (and that’s personal preference) would be a small fridge, for fresh milk and drinks as there is plenty of room.

With regards the bar/restaurant and Staff, Phil and the whole team are so friendly and accommodating, nothing is too much trouble, even making time to ask how our day had been regardless of how busy they were. 

Our breakfasts were delicious, made up of great quality ingredients and cooked superbly.  Unfortunately we didn’t have time for dinners due to having plans, but when popping in for a drink it was clear to see it is a very popular place for both food and/or a drink as was always busy. 

I can’t recommend The Manor House enough, and will definitely be returning in the future. 



Wow is the only way to describe The Hayloft room, pure luxury and can’t wait to return.

Stayed here for a weekend break celebrating a Wedding Anniversary. Staff were very attentive and always on hand to serve / clear tables etc. We stayed in The Stables located behind the Pub in a separate courtyard, but due to the weather didn’t get the benefit of using the courtyard. Room was spotless and had everything we needed. We only ate in the Pub on our first night due but the meals were excellent, as well as the breakfasts each morning (breakfast is charged additionally to the room, but discounted for guests). Plenty of locals using the bar area, which was noisy at times but shows how popular it is. Only a couple of minutes walk to Quorn Station on the Great Central Railway. Would definitely stay here again if in the area or wanted an enjoyable weekend break with good food. Thanks for our ‘surprise  celebratory plate’ as well.

Weekend break with Good food and Service

My partner and I have had a fantastic stay here with family! The service is superb with friendl, professional staff who go above and beyond with a smile and a warm welcome for us all. The me ue is both varied and delicious with vegetarian and vegan options and welcome dogs. The bar and restaurant are spacious with a friendly buzz to the atmosphere! The rooms are very well presented and immaculately clean with a luxurious feel to them. Our bed in the Nook was huge, more than big enough for the two of us and had a small outdoor area to enjoy a coffee in the morning.  It was very relaxing. I would highly recommend a stay here. Perfect for a weekend getaway! 

A fantastic place to stay for a relaxing weekend away!

We spotted this pub from the Heritage Great Central Railway and then looked up the good reviews on Tripadvisor. Really glad we did as we had a lovely evening meal there. My partner’s vegetarian options were particularly noteworthy. A beautifully flavoured mushroom and chestnut pate followed by a very generous halloumi salad. I had a very well cooked pigeon breast starter, followed by the chicken dish with a side order of the Bang Bang satay and chilli cauliflower, Everything was wonderful, apart from my vegetable selection with the chicken was a bit undercooked. I like al dente vegetables, but some of the veg really hadn’t been cooked at all. If this is sorted then it would be 5 stars from us.

The stay was just for one night, but it was a wonderful night, the room was spacious, well equipped and quite. 
Later I had a meal, presentation, quality and service all A star. 
All in all I would recommend this wonderful pub and rooms to anyone.  

Over night stay at the Manor Quorn. 

Had a nice evening meal here when my husband and I met up when visiting family.
Friendly staff and food was good. I had home made soup followed by cod and chips. My husband chose venison steak but was somewhat disappointed!
A nice atmosphere and prices were reasonable all things considered with general rising costs.

Friendly Country Pub

Stayed here on a work trip and it was lovely. The rooms are really comfortable, bathrooms are furnished really nicely and I've booked to stay again.

The only thing I'd say is the soo handle kept sticking so I had to get someone to help open it, but I believe at the time it was getting fixed.

Perfect stay for work

Went into the Manor at just gone half ten to get breakfast. Was told it was finished for the day although, there was a private breakfast laid out. Asked if we could contribute and eat what was left rather than it being thrown away but advised no so accepted this however, it was a bit disgruntling to see staff helping themselves in front of us, talk about double standards. 
I though northerners were accommodating, clearly not. 

Wouldn’t comeback on principle !!

I can not recommend the Manor House enough! 

I called on the Tuesday for a last minute room as my husbands work is in the area, and there was only one room left but as I was desperate they did us a fantastic deal, hotel room, breakfast & parking is excellent value. 
Phil showed us to our room even though he was rushed off his feet and even carried my case. He and his great team of staff in a busy bar / restaurant looked after us then while we dined in the restaurant. The food was spectacular, except for the lamb which was too chewy for me and without a breath of hesitation one of the staff offered sincere apology, deducted it from the bill and offered something else. The rest of the meal was incredible.
The room…. OMG the room! So luxurious with an immense roll top cast iron bath! Comfy bed, lots of room and a stylish bathroom and shower.
And THEN the breakfast was one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a hotel. All local and top quality. 
Last but certainly not least - late checkout at 12 afforded me the luxury of laying in the bath on a Saturday morning listening to the children in the field behind play rugby and cheer while the old fashioned train chugged past - it was like something out of an Enid Blighton novel. 

Every single member of staff has a smile and is keen to do what they can. Loved it so much that they are full tonight so had to find somewhere else but will be back on Sunday.

Although the food was fine, it was so cold - no outdoor heaters
