Visited here on 4th september 2020. Very unimpressed by male on duty who seemed in a rush to provide me with any service and went straight back to his phone. So o will not be returning here again unfortunately 

Not impressed 

If anyone reads some of my other reviews they will see that I find it hard to locate a B&B that meets my simple requirements of a good place to rest, recover, sleep and eat breakfast.
But the Detling Coachhouse managed to do this, so I have no hesitation in giving 5*.
The bad news is that I am told it is closing its doors and not accepting guest after Christmas. I for one am devastated by this news. Good luck in your futures.

warm, comfortable and clean

A really lovely place to stay. Cosy, welcoming, very accommodating - Emma let us check in really early which was so helpful and whizzed up a veggie breakfast for one of us with no advance notice without turning a hair. 
Mattresses are fabulous amd the room was really smashing - my cousin Lynne and I slept like the dead.
Breakfast choice was extensive and plentiful. Well done - would definitely stay again and recommend 🤗

Very cosy 🤗

Stayed here with my daughter last October, had requested twin room but were given a double bed.  Unfortunately we are both restless sleepers, so a pretty bad night for both of us.  Was nonetheless willing to give it another try last month, sent a message to ask whether we could be sure of twin beds this time, never received a reply.  It really is a shame, because the place is lovely, nice and quiet, no problems for parking, and the breakfast is very good.

Lovely - but no choice of beds

It’s quite a distance from the village and very difficult and dangerous trying to turn right on the main road when leaving the hotel. The room was quite dark with 2 small windows and poor lighting. There was not much room to get around the bed. The bed has an inch thick foam layer over the mattress which I don’t like. Just one hard chair so you have to sit on the bed. Very, very small TV. Wifi but no phone signal. Cheap biscuits and no tissues. Large refurbished ensuite shower room. Breakfast is not available until 7:30. At breakfast the fruit looked a bit sad and there was no hot tea just warm water from a jug. The bacon was dry and over cooked. The toaster didn’t toast. The host had me down as staying for 2 nights but I’d just booked for 1 night through booking.com. The owner only spoke a few words to me and I didn’t feel very welcome and wasn’t told that I could use the garden. The room descriptions on booking.com mention fan, fridge and microwave but I had none of those.

Could be better

We've just slept in this beautiful Kent country house and we've made a great choice! New furnishings, clean and distinctive yet elegant. Super breakfast and impeccable staff. Very good price quality.

Nice, new and great price

Only a one night business trip stay but well worth it.
I was made to feel very welcome, and the accommodation and garden were very pleasant.
The room was clean, well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, and had an excellent en-suite.
The bed was comfy and provided a good nights sleep.
Breakfast was excellent - some of the best sausage and bacon I have had.
Would definitely stay again.

Single traveller

The staff is very friendly and caring, the rooms and the bedding are clean and very comfortable, the restaurant serves delicious and plentiful dishes, the English Breakfast is perfect, a nickel bathroom would have been a plus.

It's a nice place.

A green countryside, a comfortable and tastefully decorated bedroom, the charm of the wood, a good bed. After 600 km, we enjoyed this quiet little nest. The reception was warm and, after a quiet night, a solid English breakfast packed us for the day.

We will certainly not visit the Detling Coach House again. At the time we had agreed in advance by e-mail, no one was present, so we had to wait a good half hour. The room we were assigned on the ground floor was small and had only two tiny windows, allowing only a small amount of fresh air. The beds were significantly smaller than those specified in the tender. They were inconvenient because a mattress was missing and the mattresses were only on a wooden box. The desk we were assigned had to wait for a good half hour. The rooms and communal rooms could at any rate be called obviously clean. But on the back of the cabinet as well as on the lampposts a number of similarly thick and thick furniture were used in the shower room, which we could not explain ourselves as being in the basement of a coffee shop, etc. The restroom we were in the basement of the house, and we could not explain ourselves as being in the basement of a coffee shop, and the restrooms were not as badly equipped to be used in the basement, and the restroom was not as bad as a
