Besides the fact that miss Janey Harvey doesn’t have a proper administration (credit card payments are not possible and hence money had to be withdrawn from a bank, resulting in an extra cost of 15 euros), she isn’t hospitable either : “on Saturdays we don’t work, the apartment is open and you can just go in there”; in other words: good luck with finding your way.
However, the “icing” on the cake was the apartment itself: a clogged toilet, loose electricity wires in the bathroom (so the bathroom could only be used by someone who likes a little shock every now and then), a dirty oven, chewing gum in the cutlery tray, and many, many more disgusting things: just one big mess! Miss Janey Harvey even asks £300 per night for this apartment, which is a massive disgrace.

Don’t go to this piggery!

I stayed here for a long weekend, what a fantastic city centre apartment close to everything we needed. We were greeted and checked in by very helpful and friendly staff who showed us around  and recommended places for us to go. There were more towels supplied than anyone would need and it was clear that the apartment had been recently redecorated. A really enjoyable stay we shall be back.

Would Definitely Recommend a Stay Here!

After reading some previous bad reviews i was not expecting much from the River street apartments but was pleasantly surprised to find that under new management they had been refurbished to a high standard.  The city centre location is perfect and the apartment was equipped with everything we needed for a city break.  The staff were helpful and friendly and we would definitely stay again

Surprised and Impressed

If you're the kind of person who doesn't mind stained carpets, dirty linen, child sized broken campbeds with children's duvets covers,  then you'll enjoy a stay at river street 'luxury' apartments. Unless the 8 people planning to stay were toddlers, this is no were near a large enough apt to sleep that many. 
The good location does not make up for the poor maintenance of this property and at £400 a night it is not good value. 

I've stayed in nicer youth hostels!

8 of us booked the 'luxury' apartment which was not big enough for 8 and at £400 a night a complete joke. There are 2 double bedrooms, a bed settee and 2 single camp beds set up in the lounge so 4 people in the lounge. The apartment felt dirty it needed redecorating and a deep clean. No towels so we couldn't shower, wires poking out of the light sockets and only a few bulbs working, holes in the wall, door handles broken, half bottles of cheap shampoo left in the shower, no toilet lid in the bathroom, no full length mirror,  the camp beds springs were completely worn making it impossible to sleep and the bedding was bright children's bedding (and had stains) and we don't think the quilt for the Sofabed had been washed. Location was quite good but I would not recommend this apartment as there are plenty more in Manchester.
