We’ve stayed here a few times when visiting friends in the area in recent years, and it looks like no money has been spent on the rooms to improve them in that time. Our room was spacious, but looked like it needed a good deep clean. We stayed for 3 nights and asked that the room be cleaned each day, we were told on check-in to request this each morning before 12. We duly did this but on our third day the room was not cleaned /serviced and we had to ask for fresh towels. 
The hotel looks scruffy nowadays from the outside too, and windows clearly need cleaning, inside and out!
We only had breakfast on the first day, and found everything looked picked over and swimming with grease, it was not worth what we paid. Again parts of the restaurant and serving areas looked unhygienic - this put us off and we found alternative local breakfast facilities on other days. I think next time we’re in Margate, we’ll look elsewhere.

Gone Downhill

This is the worst premier inn that I’ve ever stayed in. The location and parking are excellent. The room was very tired. What made the experience the worst was the check in process and attitude of the reception desk staff member. I wouldn’t bother visiting if you want to enjoy the holiday vibe that Margate is famous for. I use premier inn a lot  for work and leisure and I have never yet been made to feel so unwelcome at any hotel, as a solo traveller. A lovely weekend in Margate at a very unwelcoming and unfriendly hotel! I felt that this was a real shame, given the excellent location of the hotel and the usually well excellent welcome at premier inns.

You get what it says in the TV adverts. Rooms always clean and well presented. Handy passageway from hotel to pub restaurant.

Room fine bed comfy and clean - curtains very difficult to pull an inaccessible behind additional bed but worst bit was Carpet sticky and stained and horrible to walk on with bare feet

This is the worst trip in living memory, drove almost 400 miles  for a 3 night booking to be met with "restaurant closing in a few minutes because we are short staffed", the curtains in room were closed on arrival and we thought nothing of it until we settled down to sleep and then we discovered our room was 3 to 4 metres away from a very busy railway station platform so the rumbling of trains and noise made a mockery of their sleep guarantee. In the morning went for breakfast to decide what to do and again met by staff member running around telling everyone that the water in the hotel was being switched off so we had 10 minutes to get breakfast, use toilets etc, I went to reception to complain and ask for a room in a different block but was told it was full and offered a free breakfast as compensation?????

I went back to the room to pack and check out as the thought of another night was unbearable and another 400 mile drive seemed more attractive so as I waited in reception I watched a different receptionist give a room key to a walk in booking in the block which was allegedly full so I challenged the receptionist on this and she told me to get in contact with guest relations at Premier Inn to which I did and given a case reference number and a promise that I would get a response within 10 days, it's now day 16 and all emails ignored so far, I contacted them on Twitter and got a "we are experiencing larger than normal enquiries" response, appalling service from start to finish and it seems the poor service runs throughout the company as ignore the guest after they have paid seems to be the Premier motto

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Damp in room but luckily there were other rooms available. Cleanliness has decreased from previous stays. Shortage of towels and toilet tissue. Only 2 teabags and 1 coffee sachet in room. Hairs on our and in bathroom.

Needs updating

The room is far too hot (23 degrees) and the staff are unable to help. We have the windows open an a noisy fan running all night. Not good.  Users need to be able to control the room temperature. And staff need to be able to do better than offer a noisy fan.

Room too hot

The water was shut off for over 8 hrs due to maintenance being carried out so there was no water , the toilets couldn't be flushed or used and the restaurant was closed which we was told it wouldn't be so we could use the toilet facilities so we had to find a toilet else where . The staff were extremely unhelpful. When asked if they would be apply to supply bottled water for the kettle we was told no buy it from the vending machine which wasn't cheap. I left my stay a night early because it was all too much and I have incredibly anxiety and this was made worse by the situation. I paid over £200 for two nights and stayed one. I always use premier Inn so I was shocked by this ! I was meant to go away for a relaxing break and it became a nightmare

No the best experience

A nice hotel, lots of free parking, close to sea.  Staff very helpful.  Restaurant and bar attached.  WiFi excellent. Price reasonable.   Would like to have had a USB outlet in the hotel room.  Room cleaned only if you ask for it - would have preferred it the other way around.
