We were met by a very friendly guy on reception, shown upstairs to our large clean room, which was a bit dated but served our purposes very well.  We were able to walk into central Margate and back easily from the hotel. 

cheap and cheerful

Stayed for 1 night as we travelled down for a gig and needed somewhere cheap and convenient. Clean room and comfy bed. Good price for what was needed! Chap on front desk was friendly, helpful and cracked a few jokes

Good bang for your buck hotel

Very nice hotel the lady on Reception was very nice very clean rooms and a good atmosphere nice place to stay I had room 8 and my pal had room 6 only one down side hotel guests banging there doors late at night  but otherwise would recommend

Clean rooms and very nice staff

Lovely little room. Needed a quick budget hotel. Clean and did the job. Staff were friendly. Nothing you can ask for extra. Had to leave early for personal reasons. Will come back as have friends in Margate and ramsgate.

Hotel is well situated and not far to walk to Margate directly.

Budget perfect for staying a few nights.

Stayed here for an event in dreamland. About 20 minute walk to the town along the beach. Staff were really friendly, room was clean and it was very good value, which is all we wanted. Parking on the surrounding streets was plenty and free. Little tired but didn't bother us at all. Would return here on our next outing to margate 

Cheap hotel, super friendly staff and clean room

Had a very enjoyable stay.  My priority is cleanliness and the room was absolutely spotless. The ensuite in particular was absolutely gleaming.

Located in a quiet street , there are several nice cafes at either of the street for breakfast or lunch.

Margate central  is about a 20 minute walk.If you don't fancy the walk you can catch a bus at the top of the street. Which run about every 7 minutes.
This includes "The Loop" bus which is really handy for visiting Ramsgate and Broadstairs.

All the staff are really friendly and helpful. We choose not to have our room cleaned every day , but we could have done, and the staff happily kept us topped up with coffee sachets etc.

Reception is manned 24 hours  and again everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Would definitely stay again

Clean , quiet and friendlt

I booked a single room for a three night stay.
On arrival David was very friendly and showed me to my room.  He brought up a panel heater as he said that the heating could be temperamental (I didn't need it - the heating was fin).
The room was small, but very clean and everything you needed was there.
I will definitely be back if I'm in Margate again.

Very clean, helpful staff

Well, this was quite the experience! Before I go on, I must say that they staff were all very nice, so this isn't a reflection on them, but boy was this an eye-opening experience. 
We arrived at tea-time on a Friday. The lady on reception was very friendly. She walked us through a communal TV area and dining room (both with all the lights out) and pointed us to our room. The room itself was freezing, the TV had barely any reception and the furnishings were a bit tired. We asked at reception for a heater, and they very helpfully found us one (which worked a treat). We then headed out to find something to eat (we were going to a gig at the Winter Gardens later), but after ten minutes wandering the local area, realised we were in what looked to be the local drug-dealers haven so we decided to go back to the hotel and use uber-eats. On the way back, we saw an 8 year old walking towards us (bearing in mind this was in the dark and he was on his own), which we found alarming, but just to top it off, he stopped and urinated up the side of a white Mercedes. You couldn't make this up!
Oh, also, we were woken at about 5am by a group of people walking past the hotel very loudly with a boom box playing the 90s gem 'Free From Desire' by Gala, for some reason.
In summary, it was interesting. Very interesting.

Very nice staff, but very tired hotel (and area)

We only stayed for one night so it did the job… however I would have expected a lot more for the price
The bed was quite uncomfortable - the mattress was thin and a bit lumpy 
However the room was very clean, big enough and the staff were friendly. About a 25 min walk to the station / 20 mins to the beach. Also free parking was a bonus 
Wouldn’t want to stay any longer than a night or 2

Where do I start... Tatty hotel, unhelpful staff... apart from a very helpful girl on reception. One of the rooms smelt of chlorine. Disposable plastic cups offered to us so we could drink our morning coffee. When we asked for sugar (because there wasn't any in our room) the man on reception rummaged around in an open box without any concerns for hygiene and handed us a sachet....there were four of us. The kitchen and bar were closed, (because of covid, although the rest of the country seems to be open), so we asked for a couple of bowls for our children to eat cereal from in the morning, we were told emphatically "I can't help you, I only work here. We don't do bowls".  Nearly forgot....there was a rat in our room. Only briefly, but there was a rat in our room. It very possibly could have been a mouse but either way there was definitely a rodent in our room
