The facilities were adequate and good value for money. Our room was clean but with little space for clothes. The hospitality tray was not restocked before we arrived & after mentioning this to reception, we were reassured that this would be rectified.  It was not.  Bed was very comfy.  Bathroom was clean & everything operated very well.  One curtain in the bedroom was partly hanging off rail.

Two-night stay

The room boards including the walls had a heavy amount of dust. As i have a dust allergy it was unbearable. whilst i fully understand rooms cannot be dust free, this was not cleaned to a suitable standard required.
The hotel needs upgrading, the bathrooms have black round bath tub, and smell damp, tbh pretty grim.
Our room was situated at a corridor internal door which was banged until early hours.

Avoid we went as a group to watch our children dance at a local competition... the hotel was not prepared for our arrival 45 mins check in the food was terrible the restaurant staff was very rude i myself and a few others came down with food poisioning but again fobbed off avoid this hotel photo shows dirty tabkes just left for over 30 mins

Staff were friendly on arrival, we were put in room 3 for disabled which neither of us were, very confusing, we wanted to relax for a little while before going to the new year celebration in Edinburgh, the Tv had no remote I asked at reception they stated it had been stolen, no attempt to grab another from anywhere, we headed to the beefeater for a couple of drinks ….. well clearly if the people have no heart in there job why work there keep you standing at the bar, bar has very little choice as they “ran out” then breakfast in the morning hoovering from night before which surely this should be done when shift finishes (working in hospitality I know from experience) they had the tea earn on yet it had no handle to poor water apparently they need to get some hot water just to be able to have tea overall for 1 night at the price of £168 this was absolutely poor considering the night before we’d paid £65 at stansted premier inn and the service everything was so much better the place is very run down and needs tlc specially if your going to charge those sort of prices neither of us are disabled so to be honest we’d of rather a different room as we didn’t need these facilities

The room was very comfortable and the staff were very pleasant. The only issue was the poor lighting on approach to entrance and in and around the onsite restaurant as the sign was not visible from the road or from the car park  I would be more than happy to book again as we enjoyed our stay and the hotel was a nice base for our trip.

Easy to find, great parking. Super Staff
Great location for travelling South as it's at the end of the bypass. Lots of safe parking. Brilliant girl on reception with long dark curly hair, so friendly. Had the meal deal next door which was handy as we were so tired. Lovely big room with a bath.

Travelled with the U13 Leinster Badminton Team. 12 children. We were delayed till midnight on Friday 24/2. reception were so accommodating. The rooms were spotless. Karen in reception was always there and so helpful. A great stay. Highly recommend. Thank you 🙏 

Friendly helpful reception

Amy on reception was wonderful,  if only the brewers fayre could have a few Amy's. Main for most people was overcooked, my sticky toffee pudding was still frozen, service was slow,  wayyy understaffed, rude waitress who told my friend she had to wait for a cooked egg until she seated around 20 othere, got told to 'gies a minute' when asked for a steak knife and we had to take our own cutlery off another table,  bed wad uncomfortable,  had to listen to a large group of kids run riot until late and listen to a door slam all night that was right at the room we were given

Never again!

We have stayed at Musselburgh numerous times, and continue to come back. The team are fantastic, the rooms spotless and the beds exceptionally comfortable! The rooms are a perfect size for our family of 4 and we always have a great night's sleep whenever we stay here.

Great stay

Great stay, staff were very friendly & helpful.   Bed was really comfortable and clean room,  had everything I needed.  Would definitely visit this hotel again when back in the area
  Breakfast buffet in restaurant was good, plenty to choose from.
