Amazing large comfortable room  with 2 double comfortable beds and lots of space great shower in a massive bathroom and so comfortable roomy and you cannot get better for the price so so cheap but great value

Great price for comfy room

Our standard double room was spacious and had 2 double beds. The bathroom was also spacious and the shower was very good. The room also had tea and coffee making facilities, a desk and chair, wardrobe and a comfortable 2 seater. Lighting could have been better and the outside light did not work. The TV remotes also did not work. Electric jug was too large to fill in the basin.

A delightful restaurant with wonderful food, great service, and a fantastic dining room. It was the first time we’ve been, had a great welcome from two of the owners individually.  Hope to return very soon.

Terrific Food

Dinner was superb including service. Hotel stay in their accommodation was absolutely diabolical. Hardly sleep due to traffic noise and noisy fan in bathroom wouldn’t turn off. Went to work the next day and came back to accommodation to find a huge turd left in the toilet and all my loo roll used up! 

Spoke to manager he said no one has key just you. Just one key per property. 

That’s a complete lie! Obviously!

Avoid accommodation

We couldn't even get into reception upon arrival as the doors were locked. We were only allowed in as a chef happened to step outside and noticed that we were there after ten minutes. Upon getting into the room, we found (what we hoped were) curry stains all over the sheets. When we told the host, they were quickly replaced, but not before he told us over and over that they weren't at fault because they use an external cleaning company that was letting them down. This made me respect them less than if they had just apologised and replaced them. 

The sofa in the room only had three legs, meaning I actually fell off of it when I first tried to sit. None of the lamps worked and only half of the ceiling lights worked. Upon showering, the bathroom filled with water as the shower obviously wasn't sealed properly. No toiletries were supplied despite them being advertised. Hair dryer and iron were only available upon request, but we couldn't acquire them in the morning as the restaurant (and thus reception) was closed. 

The room was very warm, which we were very happy with due to the weather, but the positives end there. The rooms door opens straight on to the road, which I found rather off putting as the sounds of cars were very loud. Also, not a critique on the hotel at all, but the nearby bus stop to get into Newark-on-Trent doesn't actually exist, and requires crossing a busy main road with no crossing to get to where it should be. 

The restaurant was absolutely gorgeous. The service was incredible and it is some of the best Indian food I've ever had, with a gorgeous interior and a heated outdoor bar area. It's a pity they don't take the same pride in their hotel as they do their restaurant. 

Excellent Restaurant, Bad Hotel

Booked for my parents for 2 nights while they’re visiting us. They stayed a couple of years ago and said it was ideal to just use as a base. Good size rooms and a bath - ideal for what they needed. 
Sadly won’t be using again. 
Walked in the room and it looked like someone else had been in there, no toilet roll and towels had clearly been used. 
In the bedroom, the beds have been replaced with cheap pine ones. Mattress felt cheap, could feel every spring. Quilt cover clearly too small for the duvet. 
No TV remote, no hairdryer, no soap or shampoo. Water glasses were dirty and someone else’s rubbish by the side of the bed. 
The problem is there’s no one around to ask for help. The reception is only there whilst the restaurant is open. 
When my parents asked the cleaner in the morning, she went and got a new tv and remote from someone else’s room. And when they asked if she would make up their room and replenish tea bags etc, she said she couldn’t because she only had access to certain rooms. 
Won’t be using again and won’t be recommending to anyone. Such a shame.

Avoid at all costs!!

Went here for an anniversary meal and found it a great place to eat with friendly staff and excellent service. The food we had was hot and very tasty. The menu description was accurate. Facilities were clean. We will definitely be going again.

Great curry

At 1:25pm on 27/08/22, the day we were due to check-in (& earliest check-in time was 3pm), I got a phone call from the owner "Sai" to say the hotel had given our hotel room to someone else. I was obviously unhappy as I had booked the room 7 months previously AND I had phoned the Ashiana hotel the day before to check the earliest check-in time. To be fair they booked us in another local hotel but wanted me to pay another £92 for the higher cost of the alternate hotel. Sorry but I'm a very unhappy customer.

Very well appointed restaurant,  very good menu and the dishes were beautifully cooked and perfectly spiced. The lamb in the dish I had was tender and the sauces were perfectly flavoured. Will certainly be back. I can see why this is a favourite with my grandsons .

First visit a revelation

Friendly staff, clean room and great restaurant. Made to feel welcome by all staff.  Easy to park and so convenient for A1. The rooms are motel type  and close to the main building.  Bed was very comfortable and room well ventilated.  Waiter listen to my food request and the biryani was one of best I have ever eaten.  The chocolate ice cream was so delicious.  The take away was very busy with repeat customers - that shoes how good it is.  Thanks to everybody.
