What more can I say but thank you to the kind and brilliant hosts. Look this place is awesome and ok it is not the largest or luxurious room you may get but who cares. Kick back and chill out as it is comfortable and homely. Host and family are friendly and fun with a natural hospitable personality. Made to feel at home from the start.
Breakfast you order the night before as it is good not to waste food. Full Irish is good - apart from no soda bread. But I am being picky here.
Porridge and fruit brilliant. Great cup of tea and even some homemade cakes.
Can't wait to come back and bring my boys...Love it

Trip Away for Work.

Easily the best B&B stay I've ever had. Gareth was attentive and welcoming throughout our stay, ensuring we had everything we needed while we were there. The room was gorgeous (especially loved the underfloor heating), the beds were comfortable and we were absolutely amazed by all the little extra touches that were provided that made it that much more special. To top it off, we were free to come and go as we pleased without being restricted to set times.  I would also like to take the chance to thank Emma for the delicious food provided throughout our stay; having a lovely home cooked breakfast each morning really improved our experience. I would definitely recommend staying here and the prices are more than reasonable for what you get. 

The best B&B stay I've ever had 

Gareth & Emma are very helpful, giving us information about the area, where to eat and places to visit etc. They have thought of everything and nothing is too much hassle. All of the little touches give it a high-class feel and are perfect- great shower, perfect pillows and it’s so clean. Easily the best B&B we have found while touring Northern Ireland and we returned for an impromptu extra night! We are Game of Thrones fans and Gareth went out of his way to let us know all of the local sites to visit as well as providing a map with these on. Will definitely come back in the future.

This is my second stay here as I travel for business trips and could not of been happier during my stay. A real home from home and it was great to return back to the B&B after a long day at work. 
The house is exceptionally well kept and decorated with stunning materials throughout, the rooms are fantastic as well as shower and bathroom. The great thing for me was the chance to use the downstairs lounge area as well as the eating area of an evening, rather that being stuck in a room.

If you're active, this is definitely the place for you, on your doorstep are the fantastic hills and views of the Mourne mountains and the towns of Kilkeel and Newcastle are within easy reach3

We really enjoyed our Stay at Mourne Country House B & B.
The warm welcome we received from Gareth was second to none. the B & B is up there with the best we have experienced. The bedroom was spacious and bed so comfortable. With the whole house up to such a high standard. With amazing views.  The breakfast was amazing and the Home Baking was the best we have experienced. The Blueberry Muffins  are soooo delicious. Amazing.  All a Credit to Emma.

Best B & B

We received a really warm welcome from Gareth who is really friendly and offered an excellent suggestion for a restaurant for dinner. He allowed us to park our motorbikes at the front of the property where there was some hard standing for the kick stands.
The property is beautiful and well maintained with beautiful views and only a 5 minutes drive from the town.
The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was spotless with a powerful shower and plenty of hot water.
Breakfast was excellent (thanks Emma) and she catered for our gluten and dairy intolerances.
This is by far the best bed and breakfast I've ever stayed in and would highly recommend it.

The best of the best

Quiet surroundings, a clean and comfortable room, delicious breakfasts (try the blueberry muffins!), and delightful hosts Gareth and Emma made for a wonderful stay. Very convenient location for exploring this beautiful area. I hope to visit again someday!

Highly recommended for the Mourne Mountains and Co. Down

Discovering MCH was a truly great find. Excellent facilities, very welcoming hosts, superb accommodation and delicious food. A lot of work, time and effort has been invested in this B&B by the owners and they deserve every success. I was made to feel very welcome, had good advice on local attractions and useful information about the area. Though it was just a short break I felt very rested and refreshed. Very confident in recommending MCH to other travellers.

Superb short break

A last-minute decision to hike Slieve Binnian really paid off, and that was helped by the lovely stay we had at Mourne Country House with friendly hosts Gareth and Emma.

The views around the property are sensational, and you could spend hours sat in one of the cosy social spaces checking them out.

The property is immaculate – one of the most well-kept places we've ever stayed. The bed was super comfy, the shower was great after a long walk, and the little touches (like freshly baked biscuits) all added to the charm.

We really enjoyed the cooked breakfast in the morning, and were encouraged to take  a freshly baked muffin for the road.

All-in-all, we highly recommend this place if you're in the area. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Sunny stay in Mourne

We stayed here for12 nights. It was delightful. Gareth and Emma could not have done more for us, so kind and helpful. It really was a memorable visit--- delicious breakfast, spotless room with very comfortable bed and gorgeous views from the windows. The Moune Mountains are magnificent. We did lots of lovely walks. The people in Northern Ireland are friendly, helpful and smiley. This is a very high class B&B. I can heartily recommend it
