Beautifully decorated and clean throughout. An extremely comfy bed in our light and airy room at the front of the house (rm 2) . A big sash window to throw open while we sipped our morning coffee in bed. Breakfast to die for, and a greeting as we left  from Jan's mini dachshund made it complete! We travel lots (when covid isn't a factor!) and that breakfast is up there with the best! Very highly recommended. 

Superb. Clean. Comfortable. 

My second stay here with my dog, the first stay was a few years ago and was whilst I was walking the Cleveland Way (off route but was limited for accomodation nearby) and this time whilst walking the coast to coast (again off route but had such a great experience first time I wanted to come back). Absolutely lovely woman who really couldn't do enough for us, made us feel right at home and happily catered for my dog. Immaculate and breakfast was perfect. Thank you so much, will be back again for sure! 

Wonderful in every way 

Well what can I say lovely place everything is to a high standard and jan made me very welcome food was good fresh fruit yoghurt and a lovely breakfast.
I will be back as my friends live in the town and like it says ronseal does exactly what it says on the tin this place is the same should have its own brand it’s that good.

Impeccably clean and excellent B&B

We stayed in a very comfortable room, beautifully furnished and with a modern bathroom. The house itself has been carefully and sensitively updated and restored and the location is excellent, only a stone's throw away from the town centre.  Warm welcome from the landlady and delicious breakfast.  You really couldn't want for more and we will definitely be back.

Excellent B and B

We stayed here on a Saturday night as a group of friends going to a wedding. Jan was extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We occupied 2 twin rooms and a double, all were beautifully decorated with great facilities. The beds were super comfy, we all slept well!

Fabulous quality breakfast - a super stay.

We had an amazing nights stay at the Windsor Guest house for New Year. Not only were we made to to feel like it was a home away from home but so was our dog who I think may have felt more spoiled then we did. The bedroom was luxurious, the bathroom was magnificent and there was without a doubt lots of love put into the breakfast.

Home from home 

Beautiful ensuite room with ample tea and coffee facilities, digital, adjustable radiator control and a very comfy bed which contributed to a good nights sleep. The town is a short walk away as is the railway station in the opposite direction. Despite it's convenient location it is quiet and peaceful. The excellent English breakfast is freshly cooked to order and there is fresh fruit available for cereal. 
I've stayed twice now and always find The Windsor Guest House a relaxing and inviting place to stay.

Quiet, luxury close to town centre and to railway station.

This is an outstanding B&B. Jan was such a lovely host - she was lovely to chat to, was very accommodating of my late evening arrival and makes a wonderful breakfast to order.
The location is very convenient (steps from the train station). My room was spotless, modern and well-decorated with a comfy bed and luxurious shower.
My only regret is staying for just one night!

Fantastic! Superlative B&B

My wife and youngest son and Jasper our dog stayed there for 2 nights,
My son and I went to Chester-le-Street for England v New Zealand cricket match.
Jan was the most perfect host, nothing was too much trouble.
Our rooms were very cosy ans spotlessly clean.
The cooked breakfast is made to order and was excellent.
Even Jasper was given a sausage for his breakfast.
Can not fault anything about our experience at the Windsor.
If and when we travel to this area again, hopefully the Windsor will
have availability.
