We had a fantastic stay in a clean and well equipped lodge in a very large and comfortable bed 
We were greeted by Tracy who was very pleasant and informative about beautiful Olney and the surrounding areas and attractions /bars / restaurants 
Would definitely stay here again 👍

Enjoyable stay

We were greeted with a very cheerful lady to check us in and show us to our room. lovely B&B that is within a short walk to all the local amenities.
Lovely kitchen area which was all set for breakfast! we didn't stay for breakfast.

Great centrally located accomodation

Lamorna is well situated near the hub of Olney, an easy walking distance to the high street and the Cowper/Newton Museum.

There’s good parking available and the rooms are well maintained.  The normal cooked breakfast is currently not available but a selection of cereals and toast were available for those who wished to have those.  That’s a good idea as a temporary replacement from the normal cooked breakfast.

Note to the owner: the small glitch with the hot water this morning was entirely understandable - these things happen but what was inexcusable to us was the cheap mattress that we had on the bed.  Next time you’re up in the Red Room, sit on the side of the bed and see if you think that that mattress passes the acceptability test.  It’s cheap rubbish and not worthy of this B&B.  Sorry to give this B&B a bad rap but the bed reminded us of a dodgy hotel we stayed in 30 years ago in Kurri Kurri.

Nice B&B in a good location … but

Stayed for one night while attending family party. Booked two room, one a double and one single. Both rooms lovely and clean and very comfortable. On arrival we were made very welcome by Tracey. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again 🥰 
Only negative no Wi-Fi

Lovely overnight stay

I stayed in the chalet and had a wonderful time. Very welcoming and comfortable for a business stay, almost a home away from home. It was made even better by having its own access out of the property, and a one minute walk into the picture postcard town.

I look forward to booking again when in the area. Thanks!

Ideal

We booked on the basis of it's good reviews and the fact it was a "green" experience, paraben free etc.  Parking was easy and plentiful which was good.  The room was clean and reasonably comfortable and with paraben free toiletries, although we found the bed a bit firm for our liking.  Our room was a bit spartan, not homely, no pictures and a very uninspiring view, but it had all we needed for a night.  Breakfast was served at a table simply laid with a knife, fork, and cruet.  We had a mug of tea each and a cooked breakfast, no offer of refills on the tea, and no fruit, yoghurts, cereals offered - we didn't go away hungry but had expected more for £100 for the night.  The breakfast experience was more transport cafe than high end B&B but perhaps we were just unlucky on our visit.  Our experience certainly wasn't what others had reported on their reviews.

Disappointing...

Excellent B&B close to town centre, so well located with good parking (beware on exit though). Very clean everywhere and a most friendly welcome from Tracey 😊
Just a few other comments - someone else’s dirty T-shirt in wardrobe 😝, no milk in room for tea/coffee, toast didn’t arrive with breakfast, one ‘soap’ dispenser empty in shower. Minor but significant at £120 per night.

So delighted we found this place, it's only a 2min walk into Olney High Street, onsite parking is available, lovely room, great breakfast and Tracey is great too!

Will definately stay again if visiting the area.

A hidden gem

lamorna B&B is simply stunning.
decor and furnishings luxurious without being overwhelming.
lovely comfortable beds and linen, bath robes and carpet.
state of the art en suite with all mod cons.lovely quiet environment for great night's sleep,
breakfast was great - good food, cooked beautifully and LOTS of it.
kitchen dining area modern - gorgeous.
best things were Tracy, the owner and her little daughter, charlotte - nothing too much trouble and big smiles.
dear little dogs in their own area too.
just behind Olney high street with great pubs, restaurants.
can't wait to go back!

Fantastic stay at Lamorna Olney

Lamorna is ideally located for the short countryside commute into Northampton - tucked away from the restaurants and pubs on the high street in Olney - a five minute stroll away. The rooms are perfectly fitted out, with en suite shower and wifi. Breakfast is a pleasure - made to order, with freshly ground coffee, real squeezed orange juice and home-made hash browns. I have stayed overnight two nights a week for a few months. Off street parking is provided. It perfectly meets my requirement
