Booked for two nights in the Premier Inn in Ormskirk as me and a girlfriend were visiting her grandparents. We were given a lovely room in the annex. It was spotless and very comfortable. The lady at reception was very professional, helpful and friendly. We will definitely be staying there again!!

Premier Inn Ormskirk excellent 

We stayed in the annex building. Room's were lovely and clean, All the staff were lovely, especially Janet on reception. We ate at the Morris Dancers Beefeater, meal was good.
We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to our friends 

Ormskirk Premier Inn 

A one night stay with friends as we were visiting the local area. Arrived at 2:40 pm and could have done with access to the rooms, but felt it was a rip-off to pay £50 (£10 each for the five rooms we had booked) for 20 mins early access. This early access charge was clearly stated at the time of booking (so no complaints on that front). However, it would have been nice if the staff had been authorised to exercise a little discretion on this fee. Also, the free WiFi is very limited and the telephone signal almost non-existent. We could have upgraded to the premium WiFi package for a fee, but this is 2024 not 1999. 😂

Good overnight stay - but don't expect any flexibility on early check-in!

Will definitely be going back. Excellent value for money! Beds were extremely comfortable; room beautifully clean and the breakfast was delicious and catered for all our needs (1 celiac; 1 nut allergy and 2 vegans!)

We stay here quite often when visiting family.
Always get good sleep but there are a few things that need to be sorted.
Free WiFi is terrible and never works 
You can’t open the window in any of the rooms for some fresh air, they is some sort of air conditioning but it’s still stuffy.

Good stay

First visit here for many years.  Indulged in the amazing breakfast. Absolutely delicious and very reasonable (£10) lots of choice for the continental items then table service for the Full English.   Staff where so nice and friendly especially Elizabeth and Diane.   Asked them to thank the chef Ade for the lovely food.

One if the best premier inns we have stayed at for the 2nd year running. Lovely clean hotel and restaurant and friendly staff that always go 
above and beyond. Food was great and beds were comfy!
I'm sure we will be back

Great family stay

Stayed for two nights with elderly parents.
Clean and tidy rooms as I've come to expect from Premier Inn.
Accessible was good for my parents who have mobility issues.
Attached Beefeater was good, with a good selection of meals. Staff were especially helpful and happy to talk with customers. This was good for my parents as they both liked to reminisce. My Dad hadn't been to Southport since the 1950s, and the staff we spoke to appeared to be interested in what he remembered.

Good spot that's relatively  central without too much noise

The rooms themselves are ok and the member of staff on the Friday night when we were checking  was pleasant  and later, was helpful when after we had eaten in the next door beefeater restaurant we decided not to do the evening meal Meal deal for Saturday Night and breakfast Sunday morning as the restaurant food was not great. She was pleasant and apologetic and issued a refund  straight away. We got the impression she was not surprised by this. Unfortunately on Saturday morning  the restaurant would not let us in until it was bang on opening time even though it was wet and windy outside.  rather than trailing all the way back to our room we went to reception to wait and my partner complained to the receptionist about the  Beefeater restaurant not letting us in and remarking it does not  help to get a good review. Well the receptionist went  mad saying that a bad review would not be fair as the restaurant was a different team to the hotel section ( even though they are owned by the same company). This riled my partner and he reiterated how we felt. The receptionist was then extremely rude and said well in that case I would rather you did not stay here then, go somewhere else!  I really thought she was about to kick us out with nowhere to stay for Saturday night. Good customer service and handling had obviously flown out the window. We did manage to get things  calmer before going for breakfast, but on the back of this attitude we  would not stay here again especially in combination with an overpriced poor quality sister restaurant. Wendy was extremely helpful on our arrival. Helping us book a cosy room. She then swiftly checked us in. When we returned to the room later on Wendy had remembered an extra towel was required. We appreciate Wendy’s efforts and because of this we will be returning in the future. Thank you all the premier inn staff at Ormskirk South.
