My Friend and me stayed at the Melbourne for 2 nights as we where at attending a fishing competition. Brian and Jenny are a lovely couple who make you feel at home and can not do enough for you . The rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable beds . The breakfast is huge and very well cooked.

Lovely stay

Stayed for one night at the Melbourne Guest House to see a band play at Rhyl Theatre just 5 minutes walk away. Lovely welcome from land lady and ideal en-suite twin room. Nice breakfast next morning too. A fifteen minute walk from the railway station and 2 minutes walk to the sea front. Couldn't recommend enough.

Melbourne Guest House Rhyl

Next to the Beach down a street with Limos parked up, not far from Rhyl Town centre but still quiet. Reasonable sized rooms, small bathroom just enough room. Window didn't open much so would get warm in summer ceiling fan in room. Good breakfast have what you want.

Small and cosy

10/10. The room was great - clean, cosy and spacious, the bed comfortable and ensuite shower good. Was able to park on the private drive. Jenny was a truly exceptional host - friendly and accomodating. I had to leave early in the morning and requested a packed lunch rather than the inclusive breakfast and she gave me two delightful sandwiches along with carton of juice, mince pie and crisps. A quiet location very close to the theatre and walking distance to the town centre. Can't fault it

Exceptional

Jenny is a lovely landlady who is genuinely welcoming, helpful and full of local knowledge. 
Her breakfasts are lovely and she even got up early to ensure I had a full English before I went fishing. You don't get that with big national companies. 
Room was clean and bedding changed daily.
Ensuit bathroom was very nice and again cleaned daily.
Everything I needed and more.
I will definitely be coming back here next time I'm fishing in Rhyl.

Absolutely fantastic.
Jenny couldn't do enough for us and was a lovely friendly knowledgeable host. 
The rooms were spotless as were the communal areas and covid procedures perfect.
The breakfast was immense and cooked to perfection, we had to turn down thirds having filled up with seconds!
A wonderful stay, will be back soon.

clean ,tidy, and service was spot on, Breakfast is fantastic, (way better than any premier inn all you can eat), and plenty of it! Room is very clean, bed is comfortable , and really all you need. 3 minute walk to the beach.

very nice

we were welcomed by jenny on arrival and nothing was too much trouble.Very attentive and interested to hear about our day and advise us on nearby atractions.Proper old fashioned b and b but with extras.Excellent host,great location and fantastic breakfast.Cereal then full english with toast.really good.If you wanted anything,all you had to do was ask but never felt pressured.We felt like it was going to your grandmas for a weekend.highly recommended

Jenny and Brian are the perfect hosts and make you feel so welcome in there home. Nothing is to much trouble, we stayed Friday to Sunday for our weekend theatre break, I messaged the guest house before arriving to advise we where checking in at 6.30 and we was greeted by the lovely Jenny who showed us to our room on the first floor, it was spotlessly clean, warm and welcoming. The room had a king size bed and a single which where very comfortable. There's plenty of towels in the bathroom along with shower gel, shampoo, sanitary bags, drinking glasses. The bathroom was so clean that I'd normally give it a wipe around before using but I didn't have to.
The room had two chairs in the bay window with a side view of the beach, there's tea/coffee making facilities ie kettle, tea pot, cups, tea bags normal and decaf, coffee normal and decaf, sugar and milks which where replaced once used.
There was also complimentary bottled water still and sparkling along with a couple of biscuits.
The room had plenty of lights and mirrors to get ready plus a ceiling fan for the warmer days.
There's plenty of storage space for your clothes etc. There is a hairdryer in the draw and if you need an iron you've only got to ask. 
Breakfast is served at 8.30 and was well worth the money, Jenny was a great cook and Brian was happy to show us there photographs from there many travels.
All I want to say now is please book the Melbourne guest house for your trip to wales as you will not be disappointed.

Weekend theatre break

Stayed here last night after seeing the Illegal Eagles fantastic show at the Pavilion theatre. We stayed in room 7, although it was on the top floor it was definitely worth the climb, it's a lovely big room with very nice furniture and a large bed. On arrival we got a very friendly welcome from Jennie, she couldn't do enough for us. The cooked breakfast was one of the best and a good selection of serials. Although Rhyl is quite disappointing I would only visit to see a show and the Melbourne guest house would certainly be our first choice for accommodation.
