Three of us called for lunch today, all the food was freshly prepared and delicious  numerous sweets on offer and drinks cold and hot with a large selection of various teas

We stayed in Daisy room at Dairyman B&B  which is excellent for people with mobility difficulties and felt Home from Home. 
Bus stop for York 
Craig was a very pleasant host who made great Full English breakfasts, also had a extremely good menu of a variety of other food choices. 
We stayed here for 4nights ( over 2 weekends) and will highly recommend to others and when visiting local family members will definitely come again.

Excellent B&B

We stayed in room 'Daisy' which is separate from the main house.  A lovely room, clean and well furnished.  Breakfast made to order and served in the tearoom.  Would definitely recommend, would stay here again.

Lovely B&B

We stopped 2 nights her on our way north on holiday. Although it is a few miles outside York, there is a regular bus service (415) which takes away all the hassle of finding a parking place and then paying for it. Even better if you have a bus pass. We had a comfortable stay and ate excellent breakfasts that set us up for the day's exploring. Could not have asked for a better place away from the noise of the city.

A haven of quiet

I visited York to meet friends but found the prices in York very high. I was so happy to find Dairymans. A really beautiful room in a lovely cottage. It was so easy to get to the city by bus (every 15 mins) and it ran until midnight. The breakfast is delicious and a really great menu. The owner is also very welcoming. Such a  peaceful area and really recommend a stay here :).

Fantastic find

We found this lovely hidden gem while looking for a place to stay this Bank Holiday weekend as we were going to the Races in York. The cottage is just 9 miles away from the racecourse and was very reasonably priced. We arrived on Friday at around 4pm and were greeted warmly by Craig and his wonderful little grandson. Craig took us up to our room - we had the Poppy Room - through a private entrance which was a bonus in itself. The room was very spacious, very clean and really bright. All the fixtures were in wonderful condition and had all the home comforts and little touches that made us feel very welcome. The bathroom is an en-suite and really bright and clean - could not fault it one bit. Craig kindly provides chilled water and fresh milk in a small fridge in the room, as well as a jar of sweets and a some biscuits near the kettle and cups. There is a hairdryer in the room - not a silly travel one but a proper one - and there are small touches like scissors and a sewing kit in the desk drawers. I was very impressed with the thoughtfulness of how the room was kept and all the little things on offer.There are even lots of DVDs if you fancy a movie night.
There was large wardrobe to one side of the room with plenty of hangers. The owners also provided shampoo, conditioner and body wash, and the towels were plenty, fluffy and very clean.
Craig cooks up breakfast for guests himself in the small tea room next door. My partner had the full english on one morning and a sausage sandwich another and he loved both, while I opted for a veggie breakfast which was lovely. The hot doorstep toast slathered in butter was delicious! 
The whole stay was so comfortable and cosy that we opted for a night in on the Saturday night watching films after coming back from the racecourse - and it felt just like being in our own home. Overall it was an absolutely wonderful weekend and we will definitely stay here again if we ever head back to Yorkshire. Thank you to Craig for looking after us so well.

A hidden gem - can't wait go back!

We stayed at dairymans cottage 26/07/19 till 28/07/19 on our first visit to york to celebrate a birthday. What a wonderful place dairymans cottage is. Ideally situated for exploring york and the surrounding area. Craig is a excellent host who provides home from home, bottles of water in the fridge in the room,a jar of sweets and well stocked tea coffee and sugar in the room. Breakfast was 10/10 with plenty of choice with lovely touches. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Fabulous 2 night break

Quiet location. Helpful owner. Clean and comfortable accommodation.Very convenient car parking. Great breakfast.Nice village. Easy and frequent bus ride to York and Selby. Enjoyed our two night stay very much.

Great position bus opposite B&B for York saves on park and ride.
Room very good sweets and chocolates for kids and me fresh milk in small fridge plenty Yorkshire tea and good coffee breakfast fantastic great chose door stop bread and butter yummy great welcome by owner. Did not want to go home will be back.

Excellent price ratio, 20 minutes' drive from York, spacious, bright and very neat rooms, excellent breakfast, but above all the manager is a very exquisite person, very kind and available.
