Simply delightful. Lovely view of the river from this quaint hotel in sleepy Ross on Wye. Food was delicious and service wonderful. Love the garden! Strongly recommend. Great position for visiting Symonds Yat for canoeing and lovely walks.

Fantastic birthday break

We stayed for 2 nights with B&B and  evening meals. 

Wilton Court is a very well run business. They offer a friendly and professional service, from arrival to check out. 

The public rooms and bedrooms are very comfortable and tastefully decorated. 

All of the front of house staff are very helpful and friendly. Our experience suggests that the same is true of the behind the scenes staff too.

Housekeeping is good and the chef and kitchen staff provide an excellent quality set of meals. 

Having stayed for a night several years ago, we looked forward to this return visit. Once again, we weren't disappointed. 

There were not any unexpected items added to the bill on departure. 

We would recommend this place for a one or two nights. We like the range of locally sourced produce used. This extends to the wine list too. A final comment; it's pleasing to find a country hotel with very reasonable prices in the bar.

A superb country hotel

We recently had a two night stay to celebrate our anniversary, we had room 1 which has stunning views across the river, the room was beautiful, a nice touch leaving two half bottles of prosecco for us as it was an anniversary stay, the food was as ever excellent the staff were all great special thanks to Stef, all in all this is our favourite hotel and we will definitely be back again!

Absolutely fantastic again!

We have returned from our trip to Ross on Wye where we stayed at the lovely Wilton Court.
The establishment calls itself a restaurant with rooms, not a description I had come across before.
The premises are located directly across from the river Wye, a lovely area and a great location.
The premises are really a story of two halves, one the accommodation area, is a lovely, quirky building, a lovely library where guests can relax with a coffee or something stronger, and the rooms. We stayed in Room 10.
This room has a great view of the river and is really lovely.
The bathroom is small but fits into the room really well.
Lovely comfortable bed and is a very well appointed room.
The restaurant and bar area is very modern.
We ate in the lovely conservatory restaurant.
Great food, the starters of breast of Pigeon was lovely and our mains of Beef and Lamb just excellent.
Desserts were very very good, unfortunately we did not have the cheese board which we observed other guests have and it looked great which was confirmed by the other guests.
Breakfast was just as good a standard as the food served at our Friday night dinner. Great choice of food on offer all well cooked and well presented, a great start to the day.
The staff are superb, nothing was too much trouble, service with a smile and a great understanding of the menu and wine on offer, they are a real credit to the hotel.
Ross is not a place I would usually visit but I would certainly return if only to stay at this superb establishment.

Quaint and Beautiful 

The food is very good indeed. Fabulous Steak Rossini - perfectly cooked. Delicious pigeon breast and salad starter. Everything coming from the kitchen was great. Nice comfortable rooms with cosy library heated by stove.

Lovely room, welcoming staff and truly amazing food in a relaxing setting. You must try the cauliflower panacotta, the deconstructed beef wellington and the hay ice cream! Just a few of the culinary delights!

A perfect stay

Arrived in cold, driving rain to a warm welcome and pot of tea by the fire. Room was very comfortable with pretty view of the river. Staff couldn’t do enough to help, menu varied and delicious, decent wine list, great location for exploring the Wye valley and we both had a sound night’s sleep. We’ll be back!

Great hotel

We spent three days here in May and were absolutely delighted with everything. We had particularly fine weather and that was a real bonus as it meant we were able to make use of the garden and the outdoor seating. The building looked very inviting as it was draped in Wisteria and roses, just beautiful.
The River Wye was just across the road from the Wilton and there were benches and tables there to sit and gaze or even read a book if so inclined.
All meals were very good and the restaurant was a very pleasant area to be breakfasting or dining.

A short break in a beautiful setting.

Wilton Court was recommended by a friend and did not disappoint. The location on the side of the river is beautiful especially as it was a sunny evening. From the moment we arrived the staff were attentive but not overly so. We had drinks while looking at the menu in the very relaxed atmosphere of the library. The food was wonderful. I’m pleased that the portions were not huge. This was a special celebratory meal for us and we went for quality and got it. There were enough gluten free choices for me to actually have a choice, which is rare. My steak was perfectly cooked and the accompaniments were well matched to the meal. My husband had chicken and scraped his plate clean! My chocolate dessert was wonderful and a great finish to a splendid meal. I would certainly recommend this restaurant- we didn’t stay here - and will visit again if in the area. Thank you.

Wonderful meal with plenty of gluten free options.

Just returned from our second visit Everything was perfect again. The staff are very helpfull and the rooms are very nice. Good menu in the restaurant for both lunch and dinner. Good sandwich menu for lunchtime snacks. Already planning our next visit.
