Had the fish and chips. Very disappointing as the fish was very small and the batter was pale and rock hard. Plenty of chips though. But i pay £16 to get a decent sized piece of fish. I won't be going back.

Went for dinner with friends.  did look a little dark from outside but inside was welcomed by lovely staff, nice decor. Its not the cheapest,  but you pay for what you get. I had fish and triple cooked chips.. others had pizza   staff very attentive.

We had lunch here recently and noticed that we had to put our car registration number into the machine in the pub, which we did.
I have now received a parking fine of £100 saying I “failed to obtain a permit.” 

I can only assume that either the machine in the pub is not working or else this is another scurrilous parking company. It’s no good the pub saying its nothing to do with them as it’s their car park and they choose who to manage it.

So…I suggest people avoid this place like the plague. Be warned that even if you do what the signs ask you may well end up with a fine.

Fantastic little find near the ferry terminal. Breakfast was amazing. Thank you so much for your frendly service. Will definitely be visiting again. One of the best breakfast I've had and a great start to our trip home.

Frendly service and amazing food.

We have visited this pub several times and never had a bad meal until now.  I ordered the mature wookey hole cheese and chutney rarebit with fries. I didn't want fries so asked if I could have crisps instead and was told they had no crisps. I was served soggy bread with a revolting topping and there was no chutney.  
I couldn't eat it and sent it back.  I was offered something else but declined and ordered peanuts instead.

We were not charged for the rarebit or the peanuts.
My husband had the mushroom and aubergine risotto which he enjoyed.

There were clear signs about the parking so we should not incur any parking fines as we gave our vehicle registration.

We last visited this pub in July 23.  I had ribeye steak and my husband had sea bass, both of our meals were delicious.  

What a disappointment my meal was today.
We will not return.


Terrible lunch

We only popped in while we were waiting for the ferry. Had a lovely breakfast! Really lovely inside, very helpful and friendly staff. Would definitely visit again and recommend! Lots of seats outside. Great choice and quality of food too.!!

Lovely little pub!

I attended the Wake of a good friend here and  the staff could not have been more attentive. The food was plentiful & quite delicious.  The staff were on the go all the time to ensure that everyone was taken care of nothing was too much trouble for them. The Inn has a lovely atmosphere.

We needed a room Thursday close to the ferry and decided to book here. Arriving with enough time for lunch before heading out to meet with family, the food was enjoyable, served reasonably quickly and the staff were friendly. 

In fact they allowed us to check in early, and we were pleasantly surprised to find the room spacious & well appointed. 

We came back early evening for a meal and I had their lambs liver and bacon, which was superb !

Breakfast was generous, and we were able to enjoy a pot of tea, and read a newspaper from the selection available. 
We would certainly look to use this place again !

Really close to the Ferry - and a bit of a gem !

We went to celebrate father in laws 97th birthday. Restaurant quite quiet and many tables empty but still had a 50 minute wait for food. The website menu mentioned roast pheasant but menu was different no pheasant which I was disappointed about as that was one of the reasons for choosing there. I ordered the medium rare beef rump from the menu. It was not medium rare not even medium. Long wait for them to recook it. Serving staff were ok but we had to go up to bar and noticed another table having to go the bar twice to order drinks so not overly attentive. Food once arrived was ok but knives were particularly rubbish at cutting both the lamb and the medium steak. We were given a 5% discount, but all agreed that it’s not enough to make us to want to go back.
