Had a little girls getaway with my 4 year old daughter before the arrival of our new baby, very comfortable stay, daughter loved it, was clean, family friendly and central locations to Hastings & Rye etc 10/10 

Lovely, clean & comfortable

Just back today after a 3 night stay. Cannot fault this place! The cozy chalets were spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond. We forgot our travel ironing board and the owner only had an industrial one so she offered to iron what was needed! (We declined but the offer was most generous) The lady who served us breakfast every day was an absolute delight, so cheerful and made us feel really welcome. Breakfast was the best we’ve ever had! Cooked to order with a lovely big pot of tea not to mention the selection of cereals, fresh pastries and juices. Will definitely visit again.

Lovely weekend break

Booked last minute as our first choice accommodation was fully booked and we were not disappointed. The owner, Carmen, greeted us on arrival and showed us to our chalet. Spotless, comfortable and with all facilities necessary for a pleasant stay. Breakfast the next morning was faultless (sausages were amazing!) and Beth our server was welcoming and engaged in conversation with us and our fellow diners. Even offering some advice on local attractions and places of interest. Beth also took time to enquire if we needed anything extra for our room, I requested an extra pillow (personal preference) and it was delivered almost immediately to our room, no problem. I found the Great Escape value for money. The cleanliness was exceptional and the staff warm, friendly and happy to oblige. Beautiful surroundings add to the charm of this B&B and I would definitely return for a further stay.

Weekend break

Lovely place. Chalets warm, clean and comfortable. The small Friday, kettle, toiletries, hairdryer and smart TVs were a nice touch. Friendly and welcoming staff. Food in pub excellent for breakfast and dinner. Would definitely stay again.

Great place

Ww loved our stay at great escape! All the staff were very friendly & professional the chalets were lovely. The food at the Oak was very good. We dined there 3 nights running! Carmen does an excellent full english.  Many thanks.

Friendly staff right from our arrival we were asked if there was anything we needed just to ask (obviously within reason) chalet was equipped with drink making facility's, fridge, free wifi and tv, shower, pub and grounds were spotless and well kept, quaint setting and very quite and peaceful.🥰

Friendly and relaxing

We had a five night stay extended on final day for another two days, we found the chalet very comfortable clean and a perfect location in the grounds of the pub, perfect for Rye and the surrounding area, all staff were absolutely first class Carmen, Accommodation & Mark, landlord of the pub superb with staff a credit to their business, all very eager to please and time for friendly chat etc, all which makes for a great holiday experience, it is very encouraging to encounter a can do philosophy in business, you will certainly get that here, thoroughly recommended from our experience of our stay July 2021.

How a holidays should be.

We stayed here for a cycling weekend. Carmen kindly organised a super early continental breakfast for us so we could eat before we went off on our big adventure, then the following day the cooked breakfast was brilliant. The staff were all so friendly and nice. Rye was beyond beautiful.

Fantastic place with delightful staff

This place is an absolute little gem. The room was bright, spacious and spotlessly clean and I do love a jug of fresh milk in the fridge as well as other little touches. A covered space to site outside was also bonus (especially in the rain!), and great to have an onsite pub for dinner and breakfast. Both dinner and breakfast were spot on, really good indeed. But what stood out particularly was the attention to customer service, from booking and communication to help during the stay (my little boy was poorly sadly). The staff were so friendly and quite incredible really, and went beyond the call of duty in my opinion. I'd not hesitate to return, and can imagine it is glorious in the sunshine with the lovely pub garden and great places to visit locally. Hospitality at it's very best.

Simply Fabulous!!

My best friend and I, 20 & 21 came for a few nights at the end of summer and it was just what we wanted! A few nights in a cosy place for a break away from normality, and everyone was so kind. Great food and amazing value. Great parking. Good location to easily get to rye.
