Went for a 2 night stay to see a band arrived around 1.45pub was closed so went for something to eat returned around4.30 ordered a drink from the bar while being checked in was taken to the room by a woman who explained everything room was fine put clothes in the wardrobe and went to use the ensuite and there was towels on the floor that I thought had fallen from the radiator on picking up they were drenched so I put them in the bath thought the cleaner had left them.went back to the bar and discreetly told the woman about what I had done with the towels she then told me there was a leak on the radiator caused by the couple the night before who had been fighting so I said give me some more towels as iv moved them she said she would get someone to look at the leak they weren't available so it would be later I asked if it could be done after we went out around 8 probably before.we went up to the room to relax and get ready to go out not long after someone tried to enter the room twice with a key and apologized my husband was dressed I wasn't ready within in a few more minutes a lovely young man knocked and asked us if we could vacate the room husband said can you give us half an hour to get ready which he acknowledged.then within minutes as I hadn't got my clothes on there was another knock on the door it was the woman from down stairs with a man beside her and she was very aggressive my husband again said can you give us half an hour on which she returned with I want you out immediately total leave we couldn't believe this and unfortunately my husband said are you effing joking to which once he swore she said out now I'm getting the police you are drunk and abusive out now or in half an hour which is what we had asked for originally.husband asked for our money back to which she said take it up with booking.com which we have we are 61 and 63 never experienced this treatment before if that room wasn't ready we shouldn't have been given it in my view we were kicked out onto the street while storm Barra was in flow with no way to go tried Travelodge was expensive so returned home on the train loosing money for hotel and money for tickets for band and our Christmas break away would not touch this place with a barge pole extremely bad people person skills should not be in hospitality we have been treat like animals in fact you would not kick a dog out in a storm Pictures including never put clothes on as fast ended up leaving new clothes in the wardrobe and loosing a phone because of the speed of the situation

Nightmare before Christmas

We didn't stay at this pub but visited as near to our B&B for an evening meal and beers. 

Very friendly and welcoming....with reasonable prices for food and drink. 

All very tasty...we both had the pork scratching starters with dip (not seen that before) & was lovely!

i had a burger and chips whilst my dad had a pie, veg and chips both were very good. 

Washed down with some good ales but didn't have a dessert as full.

Typical British good old fashioned boozer

The bay horse. Nice couple but basic standard room. Bed uncomfortable. Pillows too soft. 
When I booked through booking .com I specifically asked for parking an breakfast as a must. 
The bay border has a  car park.
When taken to the room we were told ourbeakfast was a grab an go...... 2 bananas 2 yogurts 1 juice. An 2 chocolate crossaints . This wasn't a breakfast I expected. This was not mentioned on booking. False advertising. If I had known about this I would not of booked. 
We wouldn't recommend. Picture below of our breakfast.

Shame on breakfast it let you down

Booked this place for a two night stay. Chair in the room was dirty and we found a nail clipping on it. The pub / restaurant is actually closed Monday to Wednesday, which we were not aware of when booking although the booking platform I booked through has now been updated after I complained. We complained direct to the host and a female came to our door and was extremely rude. Had to access the rooms from an alley round the side of the pub. Stayed one night but wish we had just left when we arrived. Continental breakfast is insulting consisting of prepacked longlife chocolate croissants, warm juice cartons, warm yogurt and two bananas. Not the experience we had hoped for.

Awful Hotel

Ordered the lamb and mint pie and chips with mushy peas expecting a dish of lamb and mint with crusty pastry very disappointed with what came. Basically a lamb and mint pie I could of bought in any supermarket chips that looked like a potato had been washed and cut into chunks then thrown in a chip pan with a bowl of mushy peas probably cost two pound to prepare charged me £9.50 wine was OK but

A group of 6 of us stayed last night the hotel itself could do with a touch up here and there but for the price we paid for bb 
it was great value for money 
Most importantly the staff and the landlady have the best customer service,
We found then to be very friendly and helpful especially Donna 
We all had breakfast and my word what a breakfast it was amazing and plenty Donna came out and  asked us if we wanted more ,we all declined as we couldn't fit anymore in 
All in all our stay was very good 


Overnight stay 

The Bay Horse has decent car parking and the welcome could not have warmer on a very busy Sunday at the nearby designer outlet. Warm fire in front lounge and a good value carvery meal with Yorkshire puds and excellent hot vegetables exceeded my expectations. Noted lots of deals for food which represent excellent value if our carvery meal is typical of standards. Also liked the magnificent old wood floor of this unfussy friendly pub.

Convenient location on A19 close to designer outlet

Arrived 7 o’clock family of 5 not to much trouble for the staff they had a large party and a couple of other tables nothing was too much trouble. Food ridiculously cheap for a more than generous portion that was fantastic start to finish not a single fault all round step dad said the mixed grill was the best meal he’s had and every piece of meat was cooked perfectly. Overall a fantastic experience and will definitely be returning. Big thank you to the staff.

Very reasonable too !!
Friendly lady behind bar who was great and very chatty. Will definitely return here very soon

Spot on !

On main road well signed. Disappointing arrival as l was not expected as no one had added my booking to their diary. Took 15 mins to get sorted. Room a single, clean, plenty of tea and coffee. Bed comfy ,linen clean, toiletries provided. Room at front overlooking road. So some might find traffic an issue, l did not. Food served in bar was "pub grub" type and ok.No noise heard from bar below
